It's a mix of things with mostly a focus on team multiplayer with your typical shooter game modes with a 4 player hord mode for both plants and zombies and some single player content thrown in and a good progression system in unlocking new variants of characters that change up their play styles. I will confidently say that this game is one of the few games made after 2010 that have SOVL and I highly reccomend it if you're in the mood for a fun class based shooter.

Sorta. You earn coins after every match and can spend them on "sticker packs" which can potentially contain cosmetic items for each character (of which there is a shit on of) or even new versions of characters with different playstyles and stats. There are a bunch of these variants for each class, each with a unique appearance and each character can also be leveled up with xp to earn new upgrades in the form of equippable stat increases.
