It was fun but I don't think they even bothered to rationalize the weird damage ramp up/ fall off. Whole game was like that really, just weird fun shit that doesn't really make any sense.

It was more like a historian's fever dream of WWI than an actual accurate depiction of WWI. And for that, it was a one-of-a-kind experience. There's still an active PC playerbase, albeit much smaller than 5 years ago.

bf1 is way better and more fun than it should be. it does lots of weird stuff but because of that it also does lots of cool new stuff. i absolutely love the iron sight bolt actions, the once in a life time in gaming when going full auto at distance with a lmg is a viable tactic, and cavalry. only god awful things are the vehicle balance as the heavy bomber and mortar truck suck to play against. and the tanks arent very equal as the french and german one are the only good ones cus' the others require way too much teamwork and effort to make worthwhile

BF3 did the most right. There is no "best" Battlefield game, they all have their issues.
BF4 is heavily overrated. It's only playable in certain modes or maps.

Enemy mortars count as vehicles, so if you see an enemy support abandon their mortar you can go to town with the K Bullets.

I put around 300 hours in bf1 exclusively only running bolt action infantry variants of whatever country I was playing as at the time.this is the only true way to play bf1.

Not that guy but between three and four. I like three better for most things. The blue filter isn't thaaat bad, but the only like 24 tick rate servers really does hold it back against four.
