Other games will tell you why you get banned. Sega doesn't even do that. You are lucky to even receive a email at all. They just ban you without warning. This has been a issue since last year. Go see Syberbolts video about it and skip to near the end where he talks about the global jannies banning everyone 8 freaking months ago that's still relevant today.

we aren't talking about one player, it could be any dozen, two dozen, or hundreds of players being afk. Usually these AFK timers are short like 5 minutes.

Except Blizzard doesn't enforce this rule. Neither does SE. Sega is the only one to permaban people for literally being AFK. It's no wonder why their game dropped from 55,000 players on Steam down to 2000.

Yea, we as a group know that because that was Valve's primary vice. We don't actually know what the VAC ban is for in particular because it could be for real money trading like Valve has also banned for in TF2 and CSGO. Either way you aren't given a reason.

Tons of MMO's will ban you for cheating or real money trading for the first offense. EVE Online for years had issues with Bot Accounts and CCP would regularly just ban them outright and zero out their wallets.
