stop shilling your shitty straight to streaming movie no one cares
stop trying to make Ugly Sonic a thing, he needs to be dead and buried
i hate ugly people so much
>was redesigned before the first movie was released
>both first and second movie were a big hit
He already did
he's been through worse lol
>I hate ugly people so much
No attractive person has ever muttered these words. It reminds me of fat people and diet Pepsi

>will sonic ever recover from being in two good movies while his old scrapped design got used in a shitty movie?
I'm surprised Sega and Paramount OK'd this
How did Disney acquire the right for this anyway?
>redesigned
It was a marketing ploy, you retards. You fell for the ruse. They were never going to use this design, it was made specifically for the trailer.
They didn't, and didn't have to. It's different enough to fall under parody.
Which is still funny considering Disney's lawyers threaten actual children for drawing three circles online.
>a shitload of toys were patented with that design
>the whole movie was remade with the new design (remember the sticky bomb scene where no one thought sonic should just take his glove off)
Occam's razor is effective here, man.
>It's different enough to fall under parody.
Even if they would ultimately win a lawsuit under these grounds, that doesn't mean they can prevent one, and costly legal battles that would cost in the millions is the first thing these companies want to avoid. There is no way they didn't have permission for every IP they used. Parody or not doesn't matter. Spielberg did the same for Ready Player One.
Don't look at the teeth
Don't look at the teeth

>there's only one version of the characters
>they can make the transition to cgi
>somehow ugly sonic is a separated entity instead of a (cheap) transition gone wrong
I hate this retarded shit so much just for the funny "look at him, there he is,we self aware"
Toys aren't patented, except very rarely when it involves a novel concept.
"Why didn't he just---" isn't proof of anything except bad writing.
did he really have a tv show with the fbi
either that or he is actually an FBI agent himself, because he does show up with the FBI during the finale
They still wouldn't produce all those toys (they weren't just on paper, they produced the merch) on a design they were planning to scrap. That's a huge fucking loss.
And remember the original studio that designed and animated that version shut down.
Think about the risk factor.
No one is stupid enough to take that kind of risk.
That was the longest episode of family guy I have ever seen.
user, just drop it already.
Paramount isn't some master of 4D chess marketing, that's giving them way too much credit.
42 and counting
It was more like Reddit got the rights to produce a Robot Chicken movie and then just retitled it.

Recover from what? Constantly winning?
>(they weren't just on paper, they produced the merch)
Prove it. The fact that you think they were patented makes me doubt everything you say.
>And remember the original studio that designed and animated that version shut down.
Another thing you've gotten wrong. It's the studio that made the REDESIGN that shut down. This seems pretty incidental and not particularly related to either narrative.
>No one is stupid enough to take that kind of risk.
There is very little risk in doing what your primary demographic wants you to do, especially if you make it look like you had it wrong the first time.
Meds. I simply used the wrong word when I said patented.
Ah. So you have no proof of anything and I'm the one who needs meds. Sure.
you can't make this shit up
