How are you surviving the apocalypse zomboidbros?
How are you surviving the apocalypse zomboidbros?
shit game
cataclysm is better in every way and is free
game?^
whoa is that a google image searched picture?!???
you must be a heckin shillerino le hecking paid off boi
>start a new game
>easily avoid/fight zombies
>haul everything I can find
>never miss free tv skills
>find couple of cars in good condition
>basically have all I need
>launch the game next day
>trap myself in a random house and die 5 minutes after playing
By not playing it. It's fun for first 20 minutes when you're in immediate danger and need to actually play the game, but when you escape the city it just becomes fucking boring
Turn based
Tiles
No animations
No multiplayer
For autistic people
Bad controls
Shit music
I too watched Sseth's review
CDDA
In 20mn you got enough tools, food, medicine, bags, weapons, water, seeds, working car and gas? I doubt it.
And if it's too easy you can tweak the setings.
game is significantly more fun when you set exp rates to 10x and increase zombie hoard size and difficulty to compensate.
sure you will die frequently and often at the start but you will reach mid-game quickly, it is still a massive grind if you want to max out anything.
>exp rate at 10
No, wayyy too much. Times 3 is good and fadt enough.
I like to remove respawns but increase the zombie count
>bad controls
>can't watch the 20 minute german man play through the start of the game and absorb keybinds
>for autists
>bad
normalniggers who want movie games and walking simulators can tongue my anus, your IQ is too small for keyboard binds.
the game settings can't change that a single cell of fire or a car invalidates the game on everything but sprinters.
Still waiting for an RE conversion mod. Raccoon City would be comfy as shit, especially if they can mod in lickers and tyrants.
i leave respawns in, if x10 is too much do x5. it is really nice hitting 3-5 on skills within a half hour to an hour of play, upper tiers still take alot of time even with such a strong modifier so it doesn't completely trivialize it.
the goal is to have a rapidly developing character who will frequently die, and since they are rapidly developing it stings less when you die to something stupid.
livestoock and npc update when
how much did they pay you to make this thread?
Its not a Zomboid thread without CDDAutists shilling their tranny sim
>video games on my Any Forums??????
>must be a paid shill
This game really needs animals. Not just livestock, but also game animals and woodland predators. Also, add bows and crossbows as a quiet alternative to guns. I want to be able to make wooden bows/crossbows and find compound bows/crossbows in hunting shops.
The AI very bad and after 10-30 hours of gameplay you learn how to survive any situation. No new situations arise and the game becomes very very generic even with mods. It becomes a resource gathering sim just to build a cool base at which point there is no point anymore.
>after 10-30 hours of gameplay you learn how to survive any situation. No new situations arise and the game becomes very very generic even with mods.
You just described literally every survival game in existence
>play with 4 friends
>easy as fuck, zombies are just but bugs to us
>fucking around central area
>ask friend "what if I eat this unknown mushroom, i'm starving lol"
>"well there are some mushrooms you canno..."
>"oh I just ate it" ... "is it hot here or is it just me?"
>I get nausea and I watch my health bar drop at high speed then I drop dead
>everyone laughs at me ;_;
Cabin in the woods.
True I don't understand why mid-late game monkeywrenches aren't thrown in to surprise and increase the challenge for players.
played it for like 3 hours and stopped, its boring and the fact that "you will die" makes it even more boring since all the time you invest will be lost by something dumb.
now if there was like a way to escape or ending then it would make it interesting.
Lole
i remember people begging the devs for an npc update as far back as in 2012. If you told them then it'd take more than 10 years for them to be added you'd just be considered a clown.
project zomboid
I was a notorious shit talker on their forums way back. I got banned for making fun of them losing progress because they could use github
The appeal of survival games isn't really the "challenge", it's mastering the systems and understanding the environment. This feeling would be lost if the game randomly spawned zombie godzilla that smashed your house
