The game, at its' core, is fucking garbage. The entire concept is fucked, as a whole.
Battlefield should be generic nameless soldiers in full body gear, specific roles that compliment each other, and a focus on teamwork.
This, on the other hand, is all about individual supersoldiers with quippy one liners that you can play dress up with. Everyone can do almost anything, anyone can equip whatever, leading to brutal homogenization and totally unbalanced gameplay that is absolutely nonsensical when compared to previous entries.
It is the antithesis of Battlefield.

2042 was so bad that it killed off the battlefield general. RIP

the worst part about this whole thing is we may never get a battlefield game again.

my first battlefield was 1
V was okay but it felt too much like call of duty and the whole feminism thing was crap.
the beta was fun for bf2042 so i bought it and loved it since day one. i dont get all the hate for it.
boris is my favourite character the minigun is quite overpowered until the recent nerf. helped me spot enemies from far away so i could mow them down with my LMG while prone

although i think 2042 is the weakest modern battlefield game, there is still fun to be had and people crying over specialists are making too big a deal about them. i'm more annoyed about their dumb personalities but the abilities are pretty fun. the biggest crime committed here was claiming the game was ahead of schedule, which is a joke

Hit registration, lack of players, frame time problems, poor graphics, no single player campaign and many missing details which were in previous games such as foliage moving in response to your interactions, snow, water, dust or mud appearing on your uniforms / weapons

Battlefield autists got what they deserve.
Battlefield has been shit since BF3 with the exception of BF4 in certain scenarios and Hardline.
