it means a lot, both in the format and how it's received. the absolute basic is that the ff14 devs are "engaging" the player: yoshi and the others talking at the camera instead of each other means the viewer feels actively engaged with what's going on. in the wow presentation, they NEVER address the camera a single time past an acknowledgement at the beginning, spending the rest of the time talking among themselves. not only are they really obviously reading right off a script, but then the whole thing changes from them being excited to tell you, the player, what cool things dragonflight will bring to basically spying on an office meeting.
