What does it actually mean for a game to have "soul"?
What does it actually mean for a game to have "soul"?
The developers did give a shit what they were doing
I’m not sure, but for some reason the The End screens of Super Mario 64 and SMRPG always get mixed up in my head, despite being rather different.
Absolutely based taste, OP. SMRPG is one of the most soulful games in existence.
Games I like = Soul, Creative, Sexy
Games you like = Lame, Bland, Fugly
the game had a lot of love and care put into it by the developers
one of the developers was killed in a ritualistic sacrifice during development and their soul was trapped inside the game. That's why you always hear about old games having soul, they outlawed this practice so you can't do it anymore.
Games that were made to entertain and to realize the creator's visions and not as a vehicle for acquiring more money
>it's an old game where you beat it and it ends on a "The End" screen forever and all you can do is reset the console
SOUL OVERLOAD
Why the fuck is Yoshi there he barely even helped.
It’s made by a relatively small team of passionate developers that love vidya. They’re given a lot of creative freedom that most developers don’t get now. It doesn’t follow any mega corporation uniformity as far as designs. Uses limitations of hardware in an interesting and creative way, which may lead to designs that are left up to interpretation. Early pre rendered graphics rate high on the soul chart for expanding upon the early 3D game models and environments.
That’s main points I can think of.
Yeah it’s soul but man do I hate them. Paper Mario had me waiting 10 minutes+ hoping I could continue on my save file.
Marioshit never had soul
neither did your mama which is why she got fucked by a pig and birthed you
You're gonna just let him ruin the thread like that?
He helped you defeat the Boshi menace and gave you cookies and didn’t afraid of anything.
What the fuck do you want us to do about it? That user knows about timed hits.
Soul: Doujin community
Souless: Indie community
investigate the difference between the two to see why doujin community isn't a thing on the west.
I'm glad that the rights to this game seem to be in some sort of weird limbo and therefore Nintendo has never attempted to pointlessly remake it. You just know they'd totally fuck the visuals.
FPBP
Wait I don't remember this, I thought the ending of SMRPG was just a star with "THE END"
its old and has shitty graphics by todaus standards
