How will they ruin it?
How will they ruin it?
How will this have any impact. We've seen Advent children levels of destruction and we havent even left midgar. Why would a snake on a stake be any surprising.
They already did. They've already gone past these level of feats.
How do you have such a good memory?
I played FF7 in '97 and I don't remember anything at all.
I had to search this image to remember it was from the game.
The remake completely destroys the pacing of the game. it's fucking bewildering how little understanding the creators themselves seem to have of the game
i actually think this is one part they could tweak a little to make more clear. when i was a kid i didn't understand why it was flying around one minute and then the next minute you stumble upon this. i guess the implication is that there's like, whole families of these things flying around but on the map it's just one, and it takes up like half the area so where are the others even hiding?
furthermore, why/how did sephiroth impale it on a tree trunk? sure he's some sort of jenova astral projection at this point in the story but it just seems like an odd choice. he's walking around in "sephiroth human form" with the sword and everything so why isn't the snake cut up into bits like sushi? the direction concerning this whole scene is just off
How about we multiply it?
Make it 100 snakes on a stake.
That would be surprising.
based forgetful dullard
Why did Sephiroth do that?
This scene is irrelevant and probably won't even be in the game anymore.
It was one of the most memorable parts in the game anono
I think the correct interpretation is not "why isn't it just cut up into bits from his big sword?" and more "instead of cutting it up into bits like he would do everything else, Sephiroth just fucking stuck this thing on a tree and left it there, how the fuck did he do that?"
The point is that it takes you by surprise. If it was just a snake cut into pieces and the dialogue informs you Sephiroth probably cut it into pieces, it wouldn't be as memorable.
>Scene is irrelevant
>Enemy who is so strong you needed to get a chocobo just to run away from it faster is destroyed by sephiroth and fucking impaled on a tree
I guess its irrelevant now since midgar made Sephiroth into a god in the first 5 minutes
>implying that I would remember a random snake from a game I played over 20 years ago
>I guess its irrelevant now since midgar made Sephiroth into a god in the first 5 minutes
pretty much
By the end of FF7 re, it seemed like we were already at the end game. I really wish it ended with the Jenova fight.
You don't get to see the whole body
Or
Zolom's alive and then the time jannies shit out of it while Sephiroth shows up and one-shots it
Instead of stumbling upon it you'll actually see sephiroth impale it.
It's already ruined, at that point your only contact with Sephiroth was looking at the aftermath of whatever he slaughtered and only added to his build up while in the remake all of that was completely thrown out the window.
They should make you fight a baby sized one as a boss and then show the mama Zolem 5 times the size you beat at the entrance all diced up
well first of all it wouldn't have to have an actual heavy-handed dialogue box saying "hE ReaLLy CuT tHiS Mf iNtO PieCeS?!" that's kind of a strawman, could still be done visually with the snake in tatters strewn about
the way it is now is only awe-inspiring if you turn your brain off, otherwise it's just confusing because it's like sephiroth went through extra steps to kill this thing and many of the mental images it conjures are cartoonish. like imagining him flying through the air to harpoon this thing with a tree trunk he just lumberjacked
They'll show him doing it.
They're going to make you do some asinine cinematic chase scene through the marsh where the zolom is absolutely fucking gargantuan and unstoppable so that Sephiroth slam dunking ones head still looks impressive.
