Re-release/remaster/remake/new fucking game when, Capcom?
Onimusha

i want way of the samurai 1 remastered too
For me, it's Way of the Samurai 2.
the first one is on Steam
the problem is their autism to put real actors in the game means they have the nightmare of renewing the contracts to use them again
should've re-released Genma. Been playing the first game recently. I'm an absolute sucker for Samurai/ shrine temple shit and so I already love it. Why doesn't Capcom make a collection for them like they did with Devil May Cry?
>Acquire developed Katana Kami: A Way of the Samurai Story, which released in 2020, following the cancellation of a fifth Way of the Samurai entry.
IT'S NOT FUCKING FAIR, I DONT WANT TO PLAY A FUCKING ISOMETRIC WOTS
Honestly, I don't get why they haven't soft rebooted/rebooted Onimusha like they did with Resident Evil. An Onimusha remake/sequel in the style of RE2make would be fucking amazing.
Gogandantess origin story when
>remaster the first onimusha
>dosen't fix the godawful translation
fucking WHY capcom
Remaster of the first game failed so never.
>worst gaym in the trilogy
no one actually fucking cares
>2
>Worst game
but that's 3
2 >> 1 > 3
It wasn't even a failure, that was DuskGolem talking out his ass. From the leak we know it did 400k, which is great for such a bare bones remaster.
400k ain't bad at all
It's even ok pricey on top of that. I hope Capcom didn't expect early PS2 tier sales for it because that would mean certain doom for the future of the franchise. Hoping they'll do something cool with Onimusha at some point.
Or maybe it's completely fucking dead since it was Inafune who was the producer and in many ways the ideas guy behind the whole thing
I'd imagine it's much easier nowadays to have something about using their likeness for X game forever or some shit, than it was 20 years ago.
But I dunno, it seems Japan is really retarded when it comes to actor likeness in Japanese games compared to Hollywood actors in western games. That whole debacle about Judgment and how the main dudes agent company basically fucking owns and copyrights his face so he was a censored in a fucking livestream or something like that.
Capcom Vancouver made a prototype for a reboot after they released DeadRising 3 but Capcom didn't seem interested at the time.
I guess they were testing the waters with the remaster of 1 but they charged too much for a game that can be completed in a couple hours. I wished they released it as a trilogy but I couldn't imagine the nightmare they'd have getting the rights to John Reno's likeness again.
Isn't the new one slated for Jan - Mar of 2023?
I liked Dawn of Dreams
it was ok_________________________________________________________________________________________
release genma onimusha for pc first
Inafune did so much damage to Capcom that people dont even realize how many IPs he fucked over
>RE with RE6
>DMC with DmC
>Lost Planet with Lost Planet 3
>Onimusha by saying its not profitable (hence why it didnt get shit for a decade despite the last game doing well)
Dude was a walking hazard and Capcom took too long to kick him out
2019
step aside, best Onimusha comming through
>>Onimusha by saying its not profitable (hence why it didnt get shit for a decade despite the last game doing well)
he was right on that, i love 4 but that one failed miserably. You can argue it's because Capcom released that shit right when the new gen rolled around the corner. But sales stagnated progressively from 1 up to 4.
I thought this was the worst in the series, but I replayed Onimusha on steam and it was a meh experience so I'd be willing to try DoD again.
roberto is too fun man
>infinite combos
>all sorts of crazy hidden moves with their own properties
>none of the enemies are tanky enough to let you experiment, even on hard/boss fights
why do people pretend these games are good again
his triangle attack in OP mode is insane. It lags the damn characters from the amount of hits it has.
they're the only games that fill a niche I can't seem to find the word for
a void that Nioh and other samurai stuff never ended up filling
i counted, it's 98 hits
all of his normals in oni mode act like chainsaw attacks, and roberto happens to have the highest possible attack power out of any of the characters
you can literally one-button every single boss with Roberto if you know what you're doing (Enma Gloves, for example, 150 AP when maxed and it doesn't take many souls to max)
>2
fuck no. Remake 1 keep the resident evil vibes or go full on with what they were going for in 3 Demon siege. 2 lacked identity.
5 different characters, lots of cool weapons to find and the soundtrack absolutely slaps. there really is nothing that sounds remotely similar to DoD soundtrack. but it's cool man. opinions.
Roberto is really fun since they even bothered to change things up a bit and not give him a generic dodge animation. Instead he is doing boxer sways. soul af
it's a bit strict but you can cancel some moves into eachother for combos
They remade the first game, but the second has so many more licenses.
it was a fast paced resident evil but in a grimdark samurai setting with retarded but entertaining stories + jean reno
>Instead he is doing boxer sways
If you press L1+Cross you do a superarmor forward dash that can armor through ANYTHING, even unblockables (you'll take like 10% of the damage)
and to top it off, Roberto goes
>"NOT YET!"
also depending on which arm you swung with, you can do Forward+Square or Back+Square to get a quick lift/thrust attack, or an alternate string ender
