Nice opinion, did a critique youtuber give you that?

It does. I agree.

Don't swear

did a critique youtuber give you the opinion that a lot of people derive their opinions from critique youtubers?

For me, it's Shadow the Hedgehog (2025)

I disagree, most complaints are about the specific missions in which you have to kill x number of enemies, which honestly only matters if you want to go for the best ending which requires all previous 10.
Add a radar showing where each enemy is and the problem is solved, a truly bad game can't be fixed that easily

Lost Impact, The Doom, Digital Circuit, GUN Fortress, Sky Troops, Glyphic Canyon, Cryptic Castle, Mad Matrix, Lethal Highway, The ARK, Final Haunt, etc being some of the most tedious, draining shit I've ever endured in a Sonic game gave me that impression. The only form of difficulty the game offers the player is to try not to fall asleep while playing it.

this is funny because its taken out of context
OP actually loves Shadow the Hedgehog (2005)

That's probably the only memorable thing about that movie.

Bump :)

Is it time?

>he knows the tie-in game released right when Sonic 3 comes out.

I agree Fred. All Sonic games are mid af at most.

Shadow the Hedgehog is a bad game full of bad filler levels, yet somehow, it's infinitely more enjoyable than every other bad Sonic game. Shadow does laps around other fan favorite shovelware like Heroes and Black Knight.

It helps that despite its faults it's probably the most polished bad Sonic game.
Say what you will about the game's design choices, at least everything works properly.

This. And the game is so over the top that you never really know what to expect. Every time I play Shadow, I see new weapons I've never seen before, new stages I've never been to, weird gameplay mechanics I never even remembered (mechs and those weird bat things that turn the game into panzer dragoon for a bit). This game is in desperate need of a mod that fixes its severe flaws. It's essentially The Room of video games.

>Heroes
You mean that game that Shadow is a worse version of? In terms of levels, art direction, OST, combat, stability, replay value somehow, etc.

>combat, stability, replay value
You maybe had an argument until these.

>You mean that game that Shadow is a worse version of?
Invalid opinion
>OST
lol definitely fuck off

This is Sonicfag cope. Shadow controls significantly better than every character in Heroes did. I can't play Heroes for longer than an hour because it fucking sucks to control.

>this game goes for $90 now
What in the fuck? Why is Gamecube stuff so insanely expensive now?
Fuck I’m glad I got everything I wanted back in 2017.

>he says as he regurgitates a meme word for word

user, just download a rom
shadow the hedgehog wasn't even worth it's launch price, let alone 90 dollars.

I PLAYED IT WITH A MOD TO MAKE MISSION OBJECTIVES MORE REASONABLE AND IT WAS ALRIGHT.

is there actually a mod that does that?

YOU KNOW WHAT? I THINK YOU (2022) SUCK!

I liked the game overall but as a kid I could never complete any level that was on the ARK, so I got softlocked on any route that requires you to go through it. It got to the point where I'd just quit to menu and start a new game when I saw the cutscene that led into the ARK level.
Not sure what it was. I always ended up just going in circles constantly.

Because you were. The ARK levels are the worst in the entire game.

I THINK SA2 IS THE BEST GAME FROM THE DREAMCAST ERA

no need to shout user

I still own it on Gamecube from when I got it in middle school
Is it worth a playthrough? I only did one complete game and didn’t really like how much the guns and other shit slowed down the gameplay.

Eh, it's worth playing through once or twice just for the novelty. Even though it's mediocre, you really aren't going to find another game like Shadow the Hedgehog. It feels like SEGA just wanted to make the world's most expensive shitpost for much of the gameplay. The voice acting doesn't help lol
