Ill start. Metal of Honor:Frontline
Most kino intro level in a game
This was my first FPS, introduced to my brother. I remember asking him "how do I swim".
>le heckin d-day
wow
I didn't like the way the show started, but they had given me the best seat in the house: front row center.
>a single level singlehandedly made Hoth a required fight in nearly every Star Wars game, and also is solely responsible for the entire Rogue Squadron series
holy based
Literal nightmare fuel
This one is pretty good too
I still remember one of the lines when the guy calls you behind cover.
I dont remember the name exactly but im going to guess patterson.
PATTERSON OVER HERE! GET OVER HERE! WERE IN ONE HELL OF A MESS HERE
Pillar of Autumn is the first level.
The Bombing Mission.
Say what you want about the remake, they did the intro perfect. From the dialogue, to the setpieces, to the music. Not to mention that's one of the best FF openings.
Call of Cthulhu, the whole first town area and it's detective angle, I remember it being pretty good.
If the whole game had been this good, Dreamcast wouldn't have died lol
it is a good one
the allied assault version of it was better though
Would agree with you if it wasnt for
>random lasers
>random boxes
>subway turnstiles for a cargo train
>soulless elevator
>20 minute boss
That artillery strike scattered what's left of our squad all over the beach. Four of our members are over there. Help them move up the beach to the sea wall! Dammit! I'll give you some covering fire! Now move out!
>put the most intense part of the game at the very beginning
I'm here for it
>Proceeds to get murdered by gun nests 100 times
It's also a movie copy but it's still better than the other CoD intros, just like the rest of the game. Shame it's not on PC.
Wasn't technically an intro level but the enemy at the gates thing still appeared in the first Russian level in the original.
CoD 1?
Yup, and I still think Finest Hour's is better.
I thought this game was kind of forgettable and shitty until I got to the Arnhem Knights level.
Console version of cod1 which is basically its own thing. COD2 big red one is also completely different from COD2.
thought the opening was where you're on the boat and getting strafed by stukas. Or am I thinking of another early cod game?
I thought we're trying not to be super nega towards silly tiny bullshit?
>>random lasers
theres like 6 sentry gun enemies. Whoa
>>random boxes
How tf do you get filtered by boxes?
>>subway turnstiles for a cargo train
So you are literally nitpicking just random shit at this point
>>soulless elevator
It's an elevator. Who cares?
minute boss
Jesus, if you suck maybe. Scorpion Sentinal was a great boss.
There are plenty of flaws with FF7R that I will clearly point out but I can't work with some autists who focuses on turnstiles as a point of logic against a game.
To me this level outshone just about every other level in the game.
We were arguing about the into sequence not the entire game.
If you wanna talk about the entire game we can argue how they
A)Ruin sephiroth
B)Ruin Midgar
C)Ruin Barrett
D)Ruin Cloud killing sephiroth twist
>ww2 shit
No, it's not kino. It's shit.
cod2 did it better
Prostagma?
>Wake up, Mr. Freeman
>Wake up and smell the ashes
Remember, no russian
I legit used only your bullet points lol
Wtf are you even talking about speg?
>AAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUGH
>THIS ISN'T HAWAII
>THE CIA FUCKED ME
Oh I'm glad we have your opinion here to shit everything up
>There are plenty of flaws with FF7R that I will clearly point out but I can't work with some autists who focuses on turnstiles as a point of logic against a game.
You literally said that so I opened up the argument to the broader points like you wanted. Why are you spazzing out now
that was an interesting take on the D-Day thing, I was glad they did it.
Never has a first boss fight been so blatantly over the top and made you understand that you weren't in for a normal Metal Gear game.
No idea what sparked it but I love the recent resurgence in popularity and attention the game has been getting
this game felt like such wasted potentially
