Holy fucking shit, it's Anor Londo on steroids. What was your reaction when discovering the capital? What is your favorite time of the day to visit it? Where would you live in it? Can we play Elden Ring in VR to explore Leyndell with it already? What are your thoughts about the message sent by From with it? (golden city with the omen thrown in the dirty sewers, the poor's houses in the shadow of the high class part of the town etc), also why are all doors sealed? Was it to stop people from rioting in the street after the shattering?

Haters can piss and shit and boil and seethe, but only fromsoft manages to make places that occupy a place in my head after I turn off the console ( yes I'm a peasant ).
WHAT DO THEY EAT THOUGH?

yes, leyndell is peak map design and generally has a wonderful, rich atmosphere of bygone grandeur and melancholy

btw I'm 270 hours in and just finished exploring 2/3 of the city and just killed Godfrey's "ghost".
I think I'm the slowest player on Any Forums and I explore everything or come back to previous locations at a different time just to see what it looks like.

>Boletarian Palace
>Anor Londo
Soul
>Leyndell
Soulless

>bygone grandeur and melancholy

Why is it all in the past? All the still sane and healthy inhabitants of the lands should move to Leyndell and start over again. Why are merchants hiding in awful places like Caelid instead of moving in lmao retards

This levels are beautiful and all but it always irks me how there is nobody there except a handful enemies. Just put some (x) Talk prompt on a random window or something to give the illusion of habitation

i totally FREAKED OUT when i discovered all 2 streets to run up and down

Merchants go wherever they hope to find clients. Leyndell is a bad place, as it has exactly zero sane inhabitants.

>arrive from tower of return
Holy shit, this looks amazing - is that a fucking giant door set into the Erdtree? I can't wait to explore this are later in the game, I've really got something to look forward to!

>arrive later in the game
Well this is pretty empty and underwhelming....

Yeah, they did this with Bloodborne and the dialogues also change depending on your progression in the game. Maybe next time or in the dlc.

>implying there's just two streets to explore in Leyndell.
(you)

First playthrough the place flashed me with how amazing everything felt. Once you know the shortest path trough, it kind of loses its magic.

>Just put some (x) Talk prompt on a random window or something to give the illusion of habitation
Nobody is left in Leyndell, that's the entire point, the few guards remaining are nuts and the buildings have been sealed with corpse wax to keep the undying citizens turned feral inside hoping that somebody who fixes the elden ring will unfuck them later

I am more of an Altus Plateau kind of guy.

It baffled me on my second playthrough when I noticed the Avenue Balcony didn't have a "can't open from this side" on the door from the main street

Pure kino
There was originally gonna be at least one, but they cut him. Closest is that one soldier going to town on the flute.

Good level, covered by a massive layer of shit that is the open world.

Elden Ring truly proved that FromSoftware is incapable of comprehending what their true fans enjoyed about their soulsborne games. The pattern is clear now more than ever, any FromSoftware project that has Yui Tanimura involved in anyway, will be either mediocre or garbage. Hidetaka Miyazaki said that with Elden Ring "he had to delegate things to others more than usual" and it shows. Elden Ring is not a good soulsborne game, it is one of the worst, if not the worst:
>Open world causes a lot of padding and time wasting by just running around on your mount looking for the good parts.
>Open world completely kills replay value, because of all the down time traveling in the open world has.
>Open world forced them to add a mount and thus mounted combat, which is far inferior to the traditional unmounted combat. Even FromSoftware understood this and disabled mounts in multi-player.
>Open world ruins the traditional progression of difficulty in zones and especially boss fights, the bosses are either too hard because you are underleveld or too easy because you are overleveld, it is an unrefined and unfocused mediocre experience.
>Spirit ashe summon system casualizes the entire game, it is literally an EASY MODE that completely breaks the game and boss AI. Some of the spirit ashe summons at +10 (mimic/tiche) can solo bosses with you just standing there and watching, doing nothing else. Unlike traditional summons, spirit ashe summons do not give the boss a boost in HP and stats.
>Boss Fight experience has taken a significant drop in quality. Sekiro, Bloodborne and even Dark Souls 3 offer superior boss fight experiences.

Elden Ring outsold all previous FromSoftware soulsborne games COMBINED, it is literally over for FromSoftware ARPGs as we know them. All future ARPG projects by FromSoftware will feature an open world of some sort.

Thank God I pirated Elden Ring and didn't waste money on it.

Yeah, it's something that looks huge and grand when you get a first glimpse of it. And then you go through it and it's just linear corridor after corridor. And then the game is complete dogshit after it. It truly is Anor Londo.

I began ferociously masturbating

>the map is empty and boring on purpose
based retard

Jesus calm down nerd. It looks pretty but it's not even that great. Feels a bit directionless and lacks unique enemies. Miquella's Haligtree is a better area in my opinion.

>it's Anor Londo on steroids
It's not even Anor Londo on steroids. Anor Londo was nothing. It was all about the initial reaction and the stairs heading down to it, and maybe the rotating staircase and/or O&S. Beyond that, it's just featureless beige square rooms, empty spaces and enemies standing behind doors. Leyndell is so much better that it's not even funny.

>lacks unique enemies
>haligtree

>same Ulcerated Tree Spirit
>same Erdtree Avatar
>same Crucible Knight
>same lion
>same Omenkiller
>same tree guys
>same Misbegotten
>same soldiers and knights, now in gold flavor
Felt like doing the same shit as I did since Limgrave and Liurnia, only with some new doot guys.

>What was your reaction when discovering the capital?
"Finally this is almost over"

how wrong I was

same, I've been playing since release day and I'm just finishing up consecrated snowfield. about 160 hours in. I autistically scour every corner of the map and I'm constantly experimenting with loadouts. I really thought I'd have beaten it in 3 months but here we are lol

Honestly I was completed overwhelmed. It felt massive as fuck when I first got there. I didn’t fight Morgott till after I did the sewers and damn I’m glad I did. From top to bottom Lyndell was fucking amazing.

God that is a depressing view. 15 tiny buildings and some retarded walls. You're not supposed to see such tiny fake cities from above or it ruins the sense of scale.

Made me sad actually. The realization that From only put the effort into Stormveil castle, and then the remaining resources into Leyndell opened my eyes to how shallow this game really is.

Are they all insane? Genuinely asking because the perfumers seem to be trying to help some of the random mobs with magic dust until we walk in and they go aggro

Take your fucking adventure kings. My first play through was like 250 hours. I’m on my 3rd now and doing a bleed cosplay build. I know other people are burnt out but even when I know where everything is it’s still magical. Fucking love this game!

>What was your reaction when discovering the capital?
haha funny horn dudes

ok when is the dlc being announced fromshill

>Finish the game 3 times
>Just found out you can get to the rooftops at the very entrance and fight some small gargoyles

>I know other people are burnt out
Yeah I think that I'm really enjoying the game because I cannot play it all day thanks to work. If I was a fat lazy neet playing 24/7 maybe I would have had enough.

dlc was cancelled to support Ukraine you nazi bigot manchild

It's no Ringed City

>team B schizo
report this person, if the archive was up you'd see the EXACT same post over 100 times since Elden Ring launched, genuine schizophrenia.

I was already tired by the game.
Anor Londo is 20 hours in.
The Capital is 70 fucking hours.
