>That Level: The Game
That Level: The Game
All the levels in this game are memorable and uniquely fun, though. Sometimes when I don't feel like replaying the whole game I just jump straight to whichever level I feel like playing and have fun.
Ravenholm, highway 17, and sandtraps are 3 really strong levels in a row.
>Ravenholm is the entire game
Anticitizen One and Entaglement were annoying
What went so wrong?
>backtracking for the sniper
>emma sniper
>Graniny Gorki
Fuck Epissle 3, who cares
when i replay HL2 these days i choose either the Airboat boss battle or Ravenholm, that's the game to me
For some reason I have a weird mandela effect for this game. I always thought it was called Orange is the New Black as a kid. I think it's because my dad had DVDs for OITNB and HL2 so I must have got them confused.
subverting the expectations
>Vehicle Level
>Strong
That shit was annoying and the car handles terribly. Not to mention the shitty crane puzzle
Would Valve be able to dothe Dyson Sphere reveal's justice with their current tech?
In MGS2, you can just tell Snake to shoot everything for you. The bomb disposal was worse.
Prison is pretty forgettable.
I think so, even just doing something that is drastically artistically different from what we've seen so far (in the theoretical game up to that point) would be enough of a surprise to players when going through the portal and seeing it for the first time
>best part of the game
>but extended longer
Would play
Maybe you got it in the orange box
That's basically what Arkane was going to do. I wonder how it would've turned out
Most Half-Life games are just an intriguing storyline dragging you on a leash through utterly mediocre gameplay, especially HL2 and the episodes. Say what you want about Gearbox, but Opposing Force is the best one.
This, but unironically. The sewers and canals at the beginning of the game is the only thing I can remember when I look at this cover.
Hi Randy
Opposing Force's level design sucks balls, especially compared to the base game.
Was not because of this? This was the version I bought back in the day.
The only shit part is Route Canal, because you're stuck with three meh weapons vs an army of pistol wielding sci fi cops and their army of buzzsaw drones for way too long.
The vehicle sections are comfy and anyone who complains about them misses the point. You're travelling a great distance in an unbroken first person narrative, how else are you meant to do that? Besides, they constantly mix things up in those chapters.
