Mechwarrior 5 is alright. Easy to chill out to and if you can get it on PC, there's a bunch of community mods and support that really spice it up.

As for good mecha games, Zone of the Enders 2 is a no-brainer. It's just the peak.
If you like anime, I recommend checking out Super Robot Wars Z and Z2. Z2 has an English menu patch but the games are so simplistic that you don't need to understand jap to figure it all out. The HD games are pretty shit unfortunately.
There's also Another Century's Episode 2 and 3, which are anime crossovers like SRW, but play similar to ZoE with braindead musou style kill em all maps.
