Windows 10/11 works on it, but kinjda janky. I'm dual booting W11 from a MicroSD card and so far (While loading times are not as fast as on an actual SSD) the system feels snappy and useable itself and gamepass works nicely (Currently playing Hades and Forza Horizon 5) however you need to do some hacky things (like running a Notepad from Steam) to actually use the Controller around it (Not just the touchpad and touchscreen)

Can't you just configure controller for desktop? I know this feature is available in Steam

>Shitty laptop emulation machine!
You can have better performance for cheaoer

Thank you, OP.

Is it any good? thinking about getting one for myself

It doesn't recognize it as an XINPUT outside of Non-Steam apps (Basically for the apps you installed Winodws) so you need to use this workaround.

Its a fairly painless process, Also the touchscreen works really good (especially Windows 11 has way better Tablet UI than previous versions) however you cannot access some of the windows keybindings without a keyboard (The Virtual keyboard only shows up if you are in the Desktop, not in-game).

Pretty sure you can add keybinding for the extra buttons on the back, however for the minimal gameplay I'm doing on it currently, I was lazy to figure it out so far (only using it 3 days now)

It's great for me, got a lot better since the updates. I complained about the Fan Noise at the launch (I was in the first batch in the EU) however the new OS level fan profile is great, fixed most of the problems.

Battery life was always below average, however at launc hbattery management was a solid 9/10... And since then it got better with the 40-60hz Display option, better video drivers etc. 40FPS gameplay is noticeably better than 30 FPS, feels less stuttery and gives you an extra hour or so battery life over 60. For example Ghostrunner were usually a 2-3 hours on Medium Settings 60FPS, now I can achieve almost 4 hours.

Lol

Why did they revert the fan curve? Is 80-90°C not good for the console?

Also
>Shitty Screen
>Doesn't have Windows
>Shitty Keyboard

The CPU is probably evenly matched with the Steam Deck (Has lower base Frequency but better Boost Frequency)
However Pretty sure a GTX 1650 (even the non TI) is technically a better GPU than the Steam Deck's APU

Is this a new Update they just released? I did noticed today that my temperatures went above 80-90 C° which made me worry a bit.

They reverted the changes in the latest update (Fix it friday). I'm not gonna update, I'd rather have a hot console than a loud fan
