Why exactly did so many people develop a raging hate boner for the Zelda franchise?

Ah yes the penultimate opinion
Regardless. It's just fake gamer outrage from fags that haven't played them, watched a video from their favorite eceleb, and generally being social parasites
They accidentally made BoTW so good that people called it better than Ocarina and one of the greatest games ever made. (it's cool to say botw is terrible)
Spoony's hatred of Nintendo makes no sense to me.
Majora's Mask is still the most unique Zelda because Ganon isn't the villain
>link's awakening is the best zelda game
>it doesn't even have zelda in it
hmmmmmm
>Spoony became a woke far left progressive
>Nintendo is a kyoto conservative company filled with old men
>why does this woke twitter user hate these conservative men?
Holy based SPOONTANG lying down the truth!

YEAR OF THE SPOONY CONFIRMED
as games become more mainstream more and more normies start to play more than 1 game each and realize that zelda is overrated as shit.
Are you saying that wokeness did not exist in 2011?
YEAR OF THE SPOONY SOON™
not on twitter. twitter was normalfag central until the mass tumblr exodus ran them off. now all that's left are the crazies.

#YearOfSpoony2022
oh, so he's even more of a retard than I originally thought?
zelda is the archetypal action adventure series and one of the most influential IPs in the history of the medium, it's bound to make certain spergs claim it's overrated especially because it's a nintendo series
Why is Link afraid of spiders??
user please, I've already busted two nuts today
Has Spoiny been in any movies that weren’t Doug Walker productions?
>spoony
who? are they related to spoony inc.?
I don't hate the Zelda series, and still play them, but I do think it's largely overrated and gets more praise than it deserves. It has felt pretty formulaic for a while up until BotW which I enjoyed less than usual since open world games just always end up feeling incredibly shallow to me. BotW and Spirit Tracks are the two games from the series that I haven't felt like re-playing on occasion.
Although that being said they're far better than the vast majority of games being released now.
