In the end you want a ps classic for:
A cheap, small console for retrogaming on trips
The pads (no analog)
Collectionism/nostalgia
If you just want emulation you should also consider a ps vita tv

You don't even need a good PC, I'm still running a 10 year old toaster and I can run everything no problem. Upscaling is cancerous.
