Before the events of SA Kanako came to Okuu in a dream and told her about Yatagarasu. Yatagarasu was hidden in the flames and Kanako, like the CIA handler she is, told Okuu that swallowing Yatagarasu would grant the wishes of those above ground and underground. So Okuu absorbed Yatagarasu like a obedient fall guy.

Technically no. Her body houses Yatagarasu's spirit. This grants her Yatagarasu's powers but doesn't make her a god. You could say that she is a branch shrine for Yatagarasu or uncharitably say that she is possessed by it.

Controversial opinion: The game would be much improved if your normal shot type was not infinite. [点] should literally be bullets, which increase your supply. Points are bullets, bullets are points. Run out of bullets? Graze motherfucker, to make some. Makes grazing a crucial part of the gameplay and makes the X button something you aren't taping down the entire game.

Maybe in a side game but if ressources being tied to grazing already gets me tired thinking about it & resetting runs because of unfulfilled requirements I can't imagine the whole game revolving around it to such a degree.
Maybe as a side game or fan game can try that.

It works going forward if the ability and passives like we get in UM become endemic (and they should). Makes those extra shot orbs actually valuable if they dont have ammo requirements and makes offensive abilities even more lucrative. Also makes bombing to clear a screen and acquire resources a tempting prospect. The item/powerups shop after each stage was such a good idea. But it all makes the game a little too easy. This would round everything out and make the gameplay much more strategic instead of entirely tactical.

I can understand the appeal, but strategy isn't exactly what I seek out of this franchise. Quite frankly my approach to do is rather braindead and I enjoy it this way. That being said I also have this kind of autism about how organic the progression can be, so if this can be made to work in a way where the progression is smooth yet I feel there are different ways of going forward that aren't too rigid, then sure, that's what I like too.

It could definitely be cool as a fan game. One problem is the balance: the mechanism could easily become trivial for good grazers while being very punishing for bad grazers.
It could work if almost every pattern has some easy graze opportunities during certain parts, and that you're expected to normally run out of bullets between these opportunities. The reward for going in with spare bullets is thus that you can skip repeating a pattern, or perhaps even kill it before the first big graze opportunity, with score being tied more to speedkilling than grazing (so that scoring is about grazing as efficiently as possible, and not graze milking everything).
It'd still be hard to balance, since this might encourage players to milk the best patterns for milking and speedkill everything else. But it might be fine, if speedkilling is difficult even with bullets (for example, if the boss is difficult to follow), and an optimized route would go for extra grazes during the speedkills, which further increases the skill-cap.
