Side note, how is the building in Conan? I know it's mostly DLC stuff for nicer looking sets but I'm not a poorfag so that's fine. How intricate is it? Can I make really classy looking shit, or is it just different flavours of mudhut?

Pretty good. The hack devs improved it a lot some time ago so that one placement mod is no longer mandatory (although it's still recommended)

You can make both. There's a shitton of pieces you can combine and, if you're creative, you can construct some really neat shit. One of my favs is a kind of a lighthouse but in a desert - a tall tower with a huge fucking brazier on top.
Reminder that DLC is 99% cosmetic. There's very few actual new pieces in it as far as I know.

It's on sale right now but I'd recommend pirating the game first to see if you enjoy it. As a noob you'll barely do anything worthwile in your 2 hours and that's the refund window cut-off.
