Kinda, i actually like the "Make-do" aspect of needing to deal with having random resources and doing risk assessment with how you spend your resources (especially if F2P), but a lot of them have extremely shitty balance where shit is 90% easy as shit and then instantly hard walls one difficulty level up. Like i didn't mind the Gacha in XB2 even though it is actually broken (One of the intended roll tables is non-functional and instead is a clone of another one and the Pity system sucks and Mythra can basically carry the whole story whenever she is available) because it was still pretty neat to need to make do with random shit.
