Even ignoring Metropolis, Sonic 2 is just too long. Cut Mystic Cave and Oil Ocean and things start improving somewhat. Then cut Hilltop and we're almost there. This is also why I don't get Sonic 3 & Knuckles lovers. More game /=/ better game. Most of the & Knuckles levels quite frankly suck.

I was when I was 12, unironically, and it lasted forever, until I learned 10 years later how the meme barrel could be passed.
With 10 minutes time limits trying to get past the barrel, you won't believe the amount of hours kid me tried. This meme barrel is the worst game design decision of all time.
