THE definitive tier list. Kneel.
Majula > Firelink Shrine (Ds1) > Hunter's Dream (low insight) > Nexus > Firelink Shrine (Ds3- Betrayal Version) > Hunter's Dream (high insight) > Firelink Shrine (Ds3- normal version) >>>>>>>>>> Roundtable Hold
THE EVER BRILLIANT GOLDMASK GETS IT RIGHT AGAIN
For me it's:
DeS > DaS2 > DaS1 > BB > ER > DaS3 > Sekiro
bump
I can't even picture Roundtable Hold's music...
Hub areas that are actually a physical location in the broader interconnected world > hub areas that you just teleport to and from to get to other places
still have no idea why they didn't do this for elden ring
well there's always the inevitable sequel
dark souls 2 undeniably has the best soundtrack and I don't give a fuck what miyazaki simps say
Majula is just the best hub all around, time to do another DaS2 play through.
the boss themes are so fucking samey though, compared to the other games.
It's my second favorite OST- I think Bloodborne's is better
the reason why Ds2, Ds1, and BB have such better OSTs than the later titles has most to do with the lack of kitamura
yes I know Sir Alonne is kitamura
Majula reminds me a bit of the Oblivion OST
Coincidentally, Oblivion and DaS2 are both dogshit entries to their respective franchises
Majula was so good
The soundtrack isn't as experimental and zany as Ds1's but it still has neat shit like this

meanwhile pretty much every Ds3 and Elden Ring track is just sharp, drawn-out strings and epic movie trailer choirs
All of these give me a headache. It's like I want to quit out of the game, but the game isn't even open. Bloodborne gets my vote.
fantastic
Majula > DS1 Firelink > BB > Roundtable > DS3 Firelink > Nexus > Sekiro temple
DeS still has the best OST. The midi sample-based music and lower graphical fidelity translates to more surreal tone that fits the dark fantasy aesthetic better than what the future games attempted.

The Old One > Witch of Hemwick > Curse-Rotted Greatwood (literally only because of the organ in the second phase, first phase is dogshit) > Old Iron King = Conspiracy > Death's Kindred > Ceaseless Discharge
