Pump levels into vigor and play more aggressively. Prioritize stunlocking bulkier enemies with heavy/jumping attacks.
Also, you might want to invest in a way to deal with enemies from a distance, whether that be through bows or spells. It helps a lot with softening up engagements.

Get a heavy weapon and jump + R2 spam. Either that or get a good shield and Block + counter. Really noob friendly strategies.

Raise your vig as much as possible. Once you have enough str for your weapon/spells, just pump vig to 40. This is true for every build in elden ring. Vig is crucial, otherwise enemies will start to one-shot you.
