bait thread, try harder.

I couldn't finish it. I managed to finish 2. And I didn't really love 2 either.

I feel this should have been a one and done kind of game, kinda like what Bayonetta should have been. The second Travis started spouting one liners and started looking like a badass, the entire appeal of the game was kinda killed.

>I couldn't finish it.
Don't worry, Suda didn't finish it either.

It's not hard to be better than 2.

IM A GOD DAMN SUPER HERO

It has an excellent soundtrack.

it was fucking rushed and it's a rehash of Travis Strikes Again's mechanics and themes

2 is absolute fucking garbage, but yeah, I think 3 is pretty fucking great. I understand why people miss the stages but I don't think the format would work at all with how particular and beefy the enemies.

And I understand that people were expecting another transformative story on par with TSA, but I really don't know what the fuck else you can do with a character that was supposed to end at 1, and has an arc that's already about not being able to rest. That said, I think FU is a solid character, and functions more as the game's developing (devolving might be a better word as he becomes completely fucking undone) character while Travis just gets to enjoy being static.

>The second Travis started spouting one liners and started looking like a badass
You cannot tell me that shit like him executing Death Metal or giving Dr. Peace his final words isn't supposed to be bad ass. Travis has always been contrasted by moments of pathetic slapstick and genuine cool.

Step down from TSA.

I didn't find either of those examples of WOAH TRAVIS IS SO COOL. One of them was an execution of a man tired of the assassin game and the other was a somber moment. Moments in 2 like "Some people fuck at funerals. Me? I cut off heads" or the weird "Glory to the Soviet Union" thing just didn't fit the view of a loser otaku who has a pension for killing people. He just became "cool".

But I think you kind of hit the nail on the head as to why it actually works for his character. Travis isn’t supposed to be cool, he is trying to be what HE thinks is “cool”.

???? No retard, the OST is a terrible aside from like 4-5

>Glory to the Soviet Union
Travis realized that Vladimir had no idea what was going on and that he's become a ranked assassin, and he felt sympathy towards the guy. He directs his bloodlust at targets who are aware of what business they're in

I liked them all

2 was trash and ruined the series, not a high bar to pass.

Fuck the open world. It would have worked wonderfully without all that meandering bullshit. Most of the bosses are pretty good and the cut-scenes are fun and scholocky. You know, the whole fucking point of the stupid series. I honestly don't even know how the fuck is made it past quality control.

I think that's the idea they had, but it was just framed so much better in NMH1. In NMH2, everything is kind of played straight with little to imply he isn't meant to be taken seriously.

I think these are some of the best in the soundtrack

Not very hard to be better than 2, it's still fucking garbage. Suda has really lost it

yeah, people complained about how 2 didnt had any open world but after looking at 3 I'd say it wasnt that bad

We're at least in agreement with what doesn't work with him, because you're right. Travis has the persona of a loser, and 2 makes him act like a fucking jock.

I think in 3 he still feels like that weird otaku simp, just that he has his act together. His back and forth with FU is absolutely vicious, and I think all the little tid-bits during his movie conversations do a good job of showing what a huge dork he is still.

>Naomi's Lab
This is the worst one on the ost, are you smoking crack?

I still like 1's open world and I don't feel like an open world is antithetical to a good NMH game
NMH3 just sucked.

The menus in 2 are genuinely soulless. Choppy or not, I'll gladly take 3's open world over that shit, and the bike controls way better than the first game so I really don't know what there is to complain about. There's barely any down time between the fights, and two of the maps are completely open.

>The thought that maybe Travis bought the motel at some point, explaining all the modifications in the building and Naomi's new lab being underneath it, and he may've invited his friends to live there with him in a small community

2 in the very least felt like a coherent game, it's hard to play 2 and not realise it's a parody of a revenge movie. 3 is a mixed bag with all sort of nonsense mixed in, famly guy tier jokes that rely on *wink* "member that time" and a line between making a parody and being what you're moking so thin that might as well not be there.
