there's no creative potential in it, you could make certain spells be weapons or give yourself buffs but it's just see obstacle, use spell on obstacle, obstacle gone, there's no thought or fun to it unless there's some silly cutscene that plays

that's how all abilities in Lego games work

they could've at least tried, harry potter has a shit ton of material to work with unlike star wars which has just swords, guns, and telekinesis

been years since I've played it, but I'm fairly certain there are unlockable spells which function as the game's extra which can do flashy shit

the prank spells are fun but it's a fun post game toy to spam at npcs in diagon alley, not to mention they cost too many studs to be bought consistently
