that's from koikatsu, you don't render, it's just an issue with timeline and how an animation starts, although i don't think i've had that problem before. for videogames that issue only ever happens in in-game cutscenes so you can't get around it by doing that either

I'm paranoid now that those awkward fade in and outs of darkness between cuts even if its all "one scene" is to hide this amatuer shit.

It's probably MMD, that always happen at the start of an animation unless you manually meddle with every gravity-affected bone, which takes quite a lot of time

Also, if you disable physics before the character spawns, the bones will be in a neutral position and as soon as you turn the physics back on they will be suddenly affected by gravity, the animation would still look unusual and you'll be replacing a problem with another.
