When did you realize it was the last soulful Nintendo generation?

When did you realize it was the last soulful Nintendo generation?

>backwards compatibility (Switch has none)
>home menu customization (Switch has black or white backgrounds)
>dumb apps and minigames (Switch has none)
>actual libraries that can stand on their own (best Switch game is still a Wii-U game)
>Virtual Console that actually let you buy games a la carte (Switch has OOT for $50/year)
>Wii-U could buy DS and Wii roms off the eShop (Switch still can't even do GBA)
>Miiverse (Switch can't even be trusted to have an internet browser)
>Xenoblade Chronicles X (Need I say more?)

Was Iwata really responsible for all the life and soul that goes into Nintendo systems?

It was the shittiest gen for Nintendo, ever.
"HD games takes longer time to make, please understand" MY ASS

You mean the Wii.

>>Virtual Console that actually let you buy games a la carte (Switch has OOT for $50/year)
I am not paying for ROMs anyone unless they come in a physical disc or cart and neither should you.

don't forget the 3ds 3d classics

You just made this thread and the last one was pruned (I don't know why honestly, but still).

>Was Iwata really responsible for all the life and soul that goes into Nintendo systems?
literally yes. confirmed by reggie in an interview. once he died all their plans went down the shitter

really?
>Breath of the Wild
>Mario Kart 8
>Smash Bros 4
>Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker
>Super Mario 3D World
>ARMS
>Splatoon
and these are just Wii U games. when Nintendo is at its lowest hardware-wise, it tries its best software-wise. I'd legitimately say this gen was the most creative we'd seen since the first year of the Wii

Switch isn't much better
"Pay for our shitty online, doesn't matter if it's shit, prease understandu!!"

>Was Iwata really responsible for all the life and soul that goes into Nintendo systems?
Sure looks that way. At least up until the point when he first fell ill.

Nintendo hasn't been the same without him.

>Xenoblade Chronicles X (Need I say more?)
This game is so fucking overrated.

Those are entirely new games built from the ground up and not roms.

I haven't bought a Nintendo gane since February 2014 and have no plans to in the future.

that's my point

Was your last game Tropical Freeze? Based if so.

after a few years into the switches life and all good games it had were wii u ports lol

The more I see the games on Wii U and Switch, the more I realize I need to seriously rethink continuing with new video games and maybe look at doing older games.

Admittedly this was the most fun I had with games and the last time I had as much fun with video games. Further proving I just need to go for the classic and older games. That and keep an eye on indies and whatever SEGA and SNK are doing.

>entirely new games
New code, yes, but they're the old games just with stereoscopic visuals

Cope

>>backwards compatibility (Switch has none)
It has older games on switch online
>home menu customization (Switch has black or white backgrounds)
wii u menu was too slow
>dumb apps and minigames (Switch has none)
it had jump rope challenge
>actual libraries that can stand on their own (best Switch game is still a Wii-U game)
Switch has Mario Odyssey, ACNH, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Smash Ultimate
>Virtual Console that actually let you buy games a la carte (Switch has OOT for $50/year)
It is cheaper on a subscription than to buy every rom
>Wii-U could buy DS and Wii roms off the eShop (Switch still can't even do GBA)
It could be getting GBA
>Miiverse (Switch can't even be trusted to have an internet browser)
Because people would exploit it to hack the system and steal games
>Xenoblade Chronicles X (Need I say more?)
Xenoblade Chronicles DE, 2, and 3

So basically all you are whining about is that you cant buy 20 year old ROMS. Here's an idea dipshit, get them for free on google, that's what I do.

>It has older games on switch online
Kill yourself if you think I'm paying $50/year to emulate OOT which it was just $10 on the Wii.
>wii u menu was too slow
Not really?
>it had jump rope challenge
That's it though.
>Switch has Mario Odyssey, ACNH, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Smash Ultimate
Odyssey and Ultimate are good, but that's it. New Horizons was soulless shit and it's already forgotten, Xenoblade 2 is worse than X
>It is cheaper on a subscription than to buy every rom
You're not getting every rom. You're paying $50/year to emulate like 10 N64 games.
>It could be getting GBA
Wii-U already had DS by now.
>Because people would exploit it to hack the system and steal games
"Switch has no soul because some bad people exist"
>Xenoblade Chronicles DE, 2, and 3
DE is a shit remaster, 2 is worse than X and 1, and 3 looks like 2 all over again.

>on google
You sound like my grandmother
