THANK YOU! What I don't understand is why suddenly people throw out that DVD wasn't a huge deal at the time when it absolutely was. Also there's not a thing wrong with that. It made the PS2 the greatest valued PRODUCT (not just video games or electronics) on the market for years. It played PS1 games, PS2 games, CDs, AND DVDs, the best in Dolby surround sound, and a myriads of other things that made this the best all-in-one entertainment system of it's time and was only $299. I'll admit it right here that the reason we got a PS2 was because of the DVD player and there weren't a ton of games we got on it, but I don't understand the need to defend the honor of the best selling video game device of all time even today. If you liked it, fine. If if wasn't for you and you preferred another console, I understand since the list of 100s of games consistently listed here for the PS2 I honestly didn't view as interesting when they were new save for a few.
