but working still works. many issues related to gaming piracy can fixed by working and buying the game. although some other issues can only be solved by piracy.
its a bit clunky but you can literally just download steamcmd and type in workshop_item_download with the game id and workshop item id and it will download the mod

Not Valve's problem nobody else can create a functional client
There are Rimworld mods only on Steam Workshop. So if you buy from GoG you can't get them without the Workshop Downloader
Then why won't valve let download mods without having steam

Mod creators can just upload their mods to a different site for non-Steam users.
A lot of them don't because they get butthurt about piracy

They don't though even though these games have Nexus pages. These games are sold on other storefronts so they should have never received workshop support to begin with by law. This is just a roundabout way of monopolizing modding therefore reinforcing Steam as a service. I hope Wolfire's lawsuit goes through.
