i had a very poor experience with marathon,with horrid mazes,poor combat,and inexcusably bad mouse aim.
play NTFTL,sigil and finalDOOM,with heretic as an optional sidequest.
than go to SW and duke.
and after all of that,play quake.
and if you really need more,you will stumble across more.
