Fast travel sucks, horse sucks, enemy camps suck, catacombs suck, I was expecting an open world Soulslike to have a well designed and oppressive overworld but it's just Ubishit in-between the occasional low stakes boss fight.

I agree, and the caelid teleporter is a good example. Casuals ate that up and loved it and memed it, but I found it hugely disappointing. You panic run out of the cave, step outside into hell, and for 5 seconds you're legitimately terrified until you summon your horse and realize there's no actual danger, and on top of that you can fast travel (almost) anywhere (almost) anytime.
It would have been 100x better if that whole thing had been a nightmare escape from the heart of aeonia that required stealth and strategy. Instead you just walk outside, summon your horse, and casually gallop away. Lame as shit.

I`m so sick of "muh dying, decrepit world" From has been doing for years now. How about you give us a world where not everything has gone to shit?
I wanna see towns, friendly NPC`s, some happy endings for characters instead for them to be destined to die.
