I bought MC in 2010. This thing about the world gen being better in early versions was true only for a very short period of time, when the biome update broke everything and made flat plains very common and go on forever. That shit has been fixed in fucking VANILLA ages ago.
People who insist that dling some old version of MC is the ideal way to enjoy it have some serious nostalgia bias going on.

I have a railway that brings me to a giant castle with a french flag made of wool. Then I have another railway that brings me to a giant ass Quarry that has hundreds of tunnels and networks.
