This, Im not even excited for the game anymore and fearing disappointment after a massive waiting period for this game. Nintendo needs to drop a title and tons of gameplay footage next direct to get me at all interested again, not just a short trailer of mostly cutscene stuff.

Who knows and who the fuck cares. Nintendo is always the wildcard. My spider senses tell me that Nintendo will dial the hype down and that the next big trailer thing will only come when they air the final Direct of the year. Or maybe they'll do it in January. It really doesn't matter, you can't predict Nintendo, they are way too idiosyncratic and don't care about doing things "the right way".

The only thing even worth discussing is the possibility of the delay being tied to new hardware, which is also an incredibly stupid discussion for a great number of reasons.

Since E3 is canceled and the game has been pushed back OP was questioning if Nintendo would still give us a lot of information about this game like everyone assumed we'd get when the game was launching this year and we had an E3 event happening, or if they would shift gears and hold off even longer showing us anything since the game isnt until 2023 now. Will the wait until like a September direct or even an early 2023 direct to start really showing off the game.

Ya, OoT had a bit of anime for the art style, but that's it. The rest of the game plays out like a Western fairy tale story with lofty dialogue and the like.

BotW has anime tropes topped off with tertiary voice acting.

Zelda was always anime. The official OoT artwork is way more anime than BotW, even if they were technically incapable of converting this style to the N64, unlike what happened with BotW.
