The mechanics are a-ok, they didn't touch that much, but of course the performance issues is a big issues and the graphics are quite shite without even a good artstyle or anything, some other smaller nitpicks like the slow farming animations or how far apart furniture has to be for no reason, and it feels like they lost a bit of the charm, since there's things like how NPCs no longer react to you inspecting shit in their room, no diaries to read, can't gift them items on dates for them to put in their room. Small things like that aren't present (though at least the romancable NPCs still have group chats in festivals once you've got all 6 of them).
Also only one story arc so it's over pretty quick. They don't even really seem to expect you to let it drag out very long since even the final boss gets BTFO'd really easy if you put any time into forging.
Nothing really game ruining, it's still fun enough, but it kinda feels like "just another game" I guess.
