I was going to say this is one of the biggest disasters in Bethesda history. But all my research suggests it's one of the worst disasters in the entire industry.
What happened?

Giving a GaaS project to a B-team might not be a good idea.
I'm going to be that fag. Never played this game on release, saw the red flags, avoided it. Bought it some months back for like 20$, game is really good now, although I know its divisive. If you enjoyed aspects of Fallout 4, you will most likely really enjoy 76 in it's current state.
I played it for 100 hours
But yeah that was off topic, it was a launch disaster for the same reason every game flops at launch, all the same mistakes. B-team, clearly rushed out, development issues, first time trying multiplayer, trying to add multiplayer on a game engine that is archaic at this point, greed, etc.
Was this game the biggest disaster since TORtanic?
>inb4 cyberpunk
Not even close. It probably even be profitable. It's a fucking stupid, broken, and hollow game, but Bethesda has been pushing those out for years, this one just got a bee in everyone's bonnet because it has microtransactions on top of it. If you want the actual biggest disaster in gaming history, that would have to be Star Citizen. Unless you mean in terms of embarrassment and reputational damage, in which case, yeah, something like Cyberpunk is probably close to the top in recent years, although for all time you'll probably want something closer to Daikatana or DMC Devil May Cry.
> My research.
Pulling things out of your ass is not research.
Now that Bethesda is part of a publicly traded company the financials are available.
I suggest looking at those.
Did they get rid of forced survival and item degradation yet?
it's not really good now.
I like FO4 but saying 76 is good you're a shill.
The core gameplay is absolute trash, shooting feels like shit on their dogshit servers
76 is following a similar track as KotOR. Made the howler monkeys here go apeshit for a time . Then went on to make ashit ton of money.
>What happened?
"Do you want a multiplayer Fallout 4?"
>"No, we want you to bring back the rolepla-"
"Here you go!
Works on my machine.
AIIIIEEEEE IS THAT A- A SPINOFF????? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
The point ------> your head
>I suggest looking at those.
Why would that make any difference? It'll just show their profits, which has (at least virtually) nothing to do with whether or not their products are failures.
The point hit the side of my head?
>But all my research suggests it's one of the worst disasters in the entire industry.
Anthem was so bad humanity has more or less wiped it from their collective memory.
You know the word failure has an actual definition.
You now remember Mass Effect Andromeda.
also
Of course 2077 as well.
is it actually that bad? i dont even remember what the big controversy was about originally
Love the same fags jerking off 3 and 4 suddenly being outraged by 76. Go fuck yourselves.
Does the Gamepass version still lock you out of it isn't installed on the same drive as your OS?
Whatever you think of the retarded story or gimped gameplay, this game was an absolute clusterfuck of coding disasters.
It's Fallout 4 but shittier and with hardcore mode. When it launched it was even worse and had no NPCs in it. It's not a "disaster" but obviously people were mad about Fallout become jewcrotransaction multiplayer game.
>one of the worst disasters in the entire industry
It's not even close. By all accounts its pretty decent right now and entirely profitable.
not him, but the food and water meters no longer give debuffs, they just buff you as they fill up. And theres a legendary perk that basically does away with the need for food and water entirely. (other than food buffs) item degradation is still in but you get like 3 or 5 improved repair kits (got about a hundred of the fucken things) from killing the scorchbeast queen so it's just a minor annoyance.
Try playing games instead of "researching" how influencers make money. It's a solid 8/10.
>Mass Effect Andromeda
isn't this an example of another game that is good now
You're not answering question, and instead tangenting off-topic. Why would their profitability mean whether or not a specific product of theirs is a disaster or failure? Those are separate matters entirely. And no one said anything about "failure" specifically, but disasters.
It STILL has HUGE latency on all inputs. I'm on a Gigabit connection and I can't stand playing it. As bad as Playstation Now game streaming
oh yes the metric for what is a "disaster" is if one incel autist on anime forum sharts his pants about it, of course silly me.
Member battleborn?
I have fun with it occasionally
your just too stupid to notice anything, considering you think 76 is really good.
It's criminal that they haven't added any new lands to the game after all this time.
Now you just went from tangent to full on non sequitur.
hahahahah, no.
