>Y'shtola is the FF14 rep and not the canon Warrior of Light
Fucking hate the obsession they have with pushing her. Waifufags should neck themselves
Y'shtola is the FF14 rep and not the canon Warrior of Light
I don't see the problem.
Shantotto is the FFXI rep.
She was added before Shadowbringers so no one cared about Derplander at that point.
TALES OF LOSS AND FIRE AND FAITH
>dresses like a metalfag
>sings like a boybander
OOOOOOOOOOOOHOHOHOHOHO
Meh the game blew ass anyways. Maybe if Square gets their shit together for the next one, they’ll add the WoL since the ShB and EW trailers made him more popular
Warrior of Light is already repping FF1 thanks to SoP your dumbass argument actually has legs though
nice PNG nerd
Someone made a thread with that picture, and I went to reply with what I said in the OP but it was a dead thread. Sue me
At least her design is unique. Derplander is specifically designer to be as nondescript as possible because he's just a placeholder for the player character, it would be ridiculous to market anything around him.
Now, if you were arguing to replace Shitola with a more relevant rep like Venat, you'd have my full support.
No one cared about FF14's MC until the Azem nonsense was forced on us by a fujo. He's an autistic mute who doesn't even have the benefit of an interesting design.
It should have been Prishe.
Rep bout what
What are you talking about
>Derplander is specifically designer to be as nondescript as possible because he's just a placeholder for the player character, it would be ridiculous to market anything around him.
user are you stuck back in ARR or HW? Meteor has taken on a whole personality of his own and he is definitely marketed at this point.
They've heavily pushed for marketing featuring him ever since Shadowbringers and especially Endwalker came out.
BULLSHIT
There is no 'canon Warrior of Light, just the posterboy they use for trailers and promo's
Same way there's no XI Rep
Best you'd get in the future perhaps for anything resembling posterboy for an XIV Rep in the future is maybe Ardbert
That's more marketing for the job than it is for Derplander, and is a team shot.
Once again, he's not a real character. The WoL is more of a character than the usual MMO player character, true, but Derplander is not the WoL, he's a placeholder. There is no 'canon' to be represented.
Prishe should've been in NT
Honestly still pissed that SE fucked up NT not only once but twice and then just left it to die instead of trying to fix anything wrong with it
the Warrior of Light, Ardbert, is a canon fraction of the shattered Ascian you play as
they're the closest there is
>That's more marketing for the job than it is for Derplander
One of the main marketing strategies for EW was about seeing Meteor's journey come full circle. It was specifically marketing for him, not the Paladin job.
Ardbert would definitely be the best choice for a rep at this point.
He's been dead for two expacs.
Considering his popularity and the fact that he's a massive writer's pet, they'd probably go with Emet-Selch if another Dissidia was made today.
The catgirls are pretty much the only identity xiv has outside of putting memberberries everywhere, and nobody gave enough of a shit about either of the twins to put them in at the time so it makes sense. Too bad y'shtola and the conjurer class is pretty boring.
You can't deny that he's way more prevalent in the marketing now than he was in the HW and SB days.
Go back and look at ARR patch artwork and compare it to late SB and ShB, you'll notice a very clear shift from using a variety of generic characters to represent players (or just omitting the WoL altogether) to just using the midlander character in all the artwork.
>They put fucking Kamelnuts as an XI rep
the next crossover game is going to have emet-selch and/or graha tia, they regular top jap character polls. maybe even zenos again but in his reaper job
I guess it was really either him, Eald'narche or Melvien/Hades
Mini Shadow Lord would've been weird, same with Promathia
>graha tia
I'm so fucking sick of this fag, please no
