Even real life modern warfare has bad combat, unfair bombs and aircraft and shit. 1 v 1 melee combat is the only kino form of it.

so a game i actually might enjoy? even though i went to every place on the map i didnt see 90% of the content dark souls 1 had to offer because its all behind that humanity system or whatever that i could never be bothered to make use of. i think the only time i actually had humanity in my one playthrough was right at the start and some time later when i wanted to see the "humanity restored" meme text.

That sounds awful. The above games have bad combat WITHOUT tank controls. I can't possibly see how a game that has tank controls can ever have good gameplay, let alone good combat.
