Elden Ring is such a disappointment. Well, not really, actually, everyone with good taste saw the mediocrity coming when we realized it was an open worl- Oh, I'm sorry, open FIELD game. It's a shame we will never have a Soulslike made by From Software that isn't open world garbage ever again. Remember when Dark Souls III was underwhelming? Now Miyazaki will never make a Soulslike better than that. When will this open world meme stop raping series I like and downgrading them hard for the rest of their existence? It sucks!
Elden Ring is such a disappointment. Well, not really, actually...
I doubt... you could even imagine it.
>See a bunch of Skeletons guarding a corpse, kill them and find a Poisonbloom in that corpse.
That which commanded the stars.
>See a bunch of Poison Mushrooms guarding a corpse, kill them and find an Arteria Leaf in that corpse.
Giving life... its fullest brilliance.
>Go up a remote cliffside and see a clever drop with a hidden corpse next to a firecamp, find a Turtle Neck Meat in that corpse.
THE ELDEN RING!!!
>See a bunch of Bats guarding a corpse, kill them and find a Golden Rune (1) in that corpse. Exact same thing happens less than 5 minutes later.
OOOOOHHHHH, ELDEN RING!!!
>See a bunch of Highwaymen guarding a chest, kill them and find 5 Mushrooms in that chest.
Shattered...
>See a bunch of Wolves guarding two corpses, kill them and find a Glowstone and a Golden Rune (1) in those corpses.
By someone...
>See a Giant Miranda Flower and a bunch of small Miranda Flowers guarding two corpses, kill them and find an Immunizing Cured Meat and a Golden Rune (2) in those corpses.
Or something...
>See a bunch of Demi-Humans guarding a corpse, kill them and find a Hefty Beast Bone in that corpse.
Don't tell me... you don't see it...
>See a bunch of Demi-Humans guarding a corpse, kill them and find Crab Eggs in that corpse.
LOOK UP AT THE SKY!
>See a Big Land Octopus and a bunch of small Land Octopuses guarding a corpse, kill them and find a Golden Rune (1) in that corpse.
It burns...
for some reason i was expecting it to live up to the previous souls games despite the open world. never making that mistake again, open world equals automatically worse game
>Never making that mistake again
I said this after The Witcher 3, Breath of the Wild and then fell for it again here lol
probably the first open world game i've ever enjoyed. It will be forever in my top 5
Didn't read. I'm playing Elden ring
>Poisonbloom
Creates various poison ammunition and items. Pretty useful!

Creates Exalted Flesh and two powerful aromatics. Pretty useful!
>Turtle Neck Meat
Creates Pickled Turtle Neck which boosts stamina recovery. Pretty useful!
>Golden Rune
Makes shopping at NPC vendors less of a pain. Pretty useful!
>Mushroom
Creates throwable pots of various kinds. Pretty useful!
>Glowstone
Illuminates caverns even better than the lantern does. Pretty useful!
>Immunizing Cured Meat
Boosts immunity. Pretty useful!
>Hefty Beast Bone
Creates Exalted Flesh and bone ammunition. Pretty useful!
>Crab Eggs
Creates cured meat for boosting robustness. Pretty useful!
>it's another cemetery with reviving skeletons
>it's another small church ruins with a place of grace
>it's another catacombs with mini gargoyles
>it's another night rider encounter
>it's another golem reviving itself
>it's another ruins with poisonous flowers
>it's another ruins with random enemies and stairs that leads underground to a chest
>it's another giant crab
>it's another Erdtree avatar
>it's another Tree Sentinel
>it's another swamp section
>It's another ruin with the exact same broken down walls and a jutting tower that has the same holes in its structure
>It's another sky ruin column
>It's another swamp
>It's another sky rock column that is climbable but has nothing on top of it
>It's another shack with the exact same configuration and wooden platform next to it
Every time you post this it gains another 100,000 sales
I like Elden Ring. Its a fun video game.
For me, it's the graves/coffins with Golden Rune [1]s and a bunch of dogs
witcher 3 actually benefits from the open world due to being a story-driven fantasy game, its the piss-and-shit combat that ruins the experience
You do realize you can just get turtle neck meats from turtles and mushrooms from the environment and hefty beast bones from animals, right? Having them be corpse drops being guarded is absolutely not useful. You already have basically infinite of them. At no point do you need to go look for anything that isn't really rare unless you suck at this game.
ITT discord trannies
I wasn't that disappointed because I didn't like the network test. Still worse than I expected
>killing turtles
Cringe. Also, it's not like it's particularly hard to get to any of those corpses, so the rewards are fitting.
the discord disbanded after huge fights broke out when the initial campaign failed
>it's not like it's particularly hard to get to any of those corpses
No, but it's a waste of time that this shit is everywhere in the map. It's an artificially inflated map with artificial bloat to poorly attempt to justify its size.
>Same OP post
>Same green text replies
Jesus get some new material.
> :D
move away fags the snek is taking over
>get some new material
What I said when I saw Shack #25 next to Sky Ruin Column #134
If the items are useful then it's not a waste of time.
Rya is precious
And if you already have more items than you will ever need them by virtue of the game vomiting them out as padding for their inflated open world map, then the items are not useful.
