Gameplay just isn't that good. It's also a collectathon made slightly more frustrating by limiting you on how many blue ghost orbs you can collect at once.
While it's not a major inconvenience, there probably will be times you have to backtrack because all your paper dolls are full and it makes it feels like the only reason for the limit is to annoy the player and nothing more.
