I like it but framerate issues are a real thing. Sometimes there's a schizo or two coming into a thread for a game he hates and screams about it for no reason so it seems like everyone hates it.
I'm only at the start of the game but I already see some glaring issues:
>framerate
>town feeling really empty compared to 4. The size doesn't help and NPCs seem to stay at home / work for the majority of the days
>it can be hard to see where fishes are due to colors and camera. Especially in the pond near the restaurant
>textures aren't great
I personally enjoy it but I can see why these aspects could annoy people

This. I think it helped that I went into it knowing about these problems because of the complaints when the japanese version came out, I just really wanted a new RF. If I didn't know anything about the issues it has I'd probably be more disappointed though.
