Holy shit this area is dogshit. This is where the game truly dropped in quality for me. So much asset reuse. With 2 of the worst bosses in the game and such a boring area to travel through. Barely any variation with the enemies and the environment. The halberd knights that block you from godskin duo in particular are fucking bullshit.
>Aoe stun combo that ends with a jumping attack that makes the camera shit the bed everytime so you can't dodge.
>You've fought them both individually twice now so get ready to fight them 4 times more at the same time!
>Godskin duo both throw fireballs everytime you chug crimson tears
>Malekith flips around in the air so much that you barely get any openings to fucking hit him.
>From's solution to this was to make an entire item dedicated to stunning him instead of designing him better.
I was already so burnt out by the time I reached godskin that I switched to a faith build so I could rot breath them. From is becoming almost as lazy as Gamefreak.

Sounds like a skill issue bro.

I was already sick of it by the mountaintops. Haligtree and Mohgwyn Palace are also dogshit

Bot

Shut the fuck up you casual blog posting cunt

Elden Ring is a casual game

>From's solution to this was to make an entire item dedicated to stunning him instead of designing him better
Well, yeah. This can be applied to the entire game. Too lazy to balance anything so just throw in gay summons and other OP shit to tip the scales so you can cheese your way through.
The melee combat being absolute shite and the huge input delay doesn't help either.

your post makes a lot of valid points but unfortunately this is Any Forums - r/eldenring general so i don't really know what you expected

Previous souls games required you to actually learn boss moves to dodge them effectively.
In ER you just spam whatever OP cancer you have in your inventory to stunlock your opponent. It's the most casual fromsoft game.

Thx for (you)s

Area was cool, bosses are very good, actual enemy layout was truly awful

Yeah this area sucked. The dragons that shoot red lightning constantly crash my game so I just had to sprint past them, and the rest of the enemies were so annoying I ended up just running past them to godskin duo as well. Basically everything after morgott I ended up just running past because it wasnt very fun. It felt a lot like endgame ds1, where the best strategy for tomb of the giants and whatnot was to just run past everything to the boss.

there is another way to the bossfight with a grace checkpoint in front of the fog wothout knights

>From is becoming almost as lazy as Gamefreak.
agreed with the rest of your post but come on dude

It's ok to be bad at video games. user. From games aren't for everyone and that's okay. No need to post cope all over the place.

>if you criticize game you're le bad
Sad really

No but your criticisms were almost all 'Thing was too hard for me'.

>Critiquing asset reuse, boring environments and poor enemy design uhhh just means your bad!

Late game has massive problems, after you reach mountaintops every enemy just kills you in 2 hits and you do shit damage unless you're running some op build.

environment. The halberd knights that block you from godskin duo in particular are fucking bullshit.

All of these can be legitamately rephrased as: 'Thing was too hard for me'

That's good though. It should get harder over time.

That’s exactly where I’m at and got burnt the fuck out. Trying to finish the game feels like a chore.

So if you criticize the combat you are le bad and you got filtered? If OP was a true shitter he wouldn't have even gotten to farum azula in the first place

You didn't criticize any of that, you just cried about game being hard. They're perfectly doable, Malekith in particular is fun as fuck, but if you're one of those shit at videogames people, fromsoft implemented spirit summon system for lads such as yourself. Cheers.

Nice reading comprehension retard

its pretty clearly where they ran out of time and like Izalith it was too finished to cut but not enough time to finish so they just copy paste bosses as regular mobs with the laziest ambushes and traps up to "this guy spawns in mid air to drop on you when you interact with a ladder" level stuff even the laziest parts of DS3 couldn't do and by the time you get to the two godkillers and its literally "keep killing them over and over till a shared health bar runs out" which ended with me nuking fatty instantly and the other guy died as fatty respawned, took a pip of hp then dropped dead" its pretty clear from a design standpoint this was not finsihed.

Which is a shame because from the pieces dotting lindgrave and the relic shards talking about the floating temple to the bat queens singing in latin about their fallen kingdom, becoming infertile and having no children to weep for them as the beasts went from literally lording it over humans to living in caves like rats its evident there was some solid ideas here they simply didn't get to finish.

>waah aoe stun
>waah two bosses
>waah fireballs
>waah boss doesn't stand in place for 10 minutes
Whatever helps you cope, shitter. Maybe go cry on your furfag reddit channel instead if you don't want to be ridiculed.

props to you for actually reading the lore
I usually do but this was the first From game where I just couldn't give enough of a shit to, just rushed the game and got it over with

Sounds like an under levelled problem

>to the bat queens singing in latin about their fallen kingdom, becoming infertile and having no children to weep for them as the beasts went from literally lording it over humans to living in caves like rats
what.

>boy this place is linear
>beat Godskin Duo
>miss the door leading to next area because everything looks identical
>end up running in circles around their arena and exploring the entire first half of the map before finding it

I enjoyed farum azula.

>Alas, that land, once blessed, now has diminished. (O, locus ille, beatus quondam, nunc deminuit.)
>We, (betrothed) destined to be mothers, now become tarnished. (Nos, destinatae matribus, nunc fiunt turpes.)
>We have lamented and we have shed tears but no one consoles us. (Ploarvimus lacrimavimusque sed nemo nos consolatur.)
>Golden One, at whom you were angry? (Aureum, cui irascebaris?)

Some also take it to mean the harpies are not beastmen but humans changed into monsters as a punished -and perhaps others like the land octopus are as well- and anything 'tarnished' is excommunicated and treated as subhuman.

I beat the game. And now I'm critiquing how shit certain aspects of it are. How is that indicative of skill? You think having malekith jumping in the are for the majority of the fight was fun or engaging? It made it a complete slog. Or fighting godskin 8 times in total wasn't lazy reuse? Or having them input read you everytime you chugged crimson tears wasn't bullshit? Splitting your attention on two very fast enemies with long combos is plain annoying. Especially after having dealing with an enemy that kills your camera after stunning you twice.
