This thread is dedicated to Playstation Vita, last big name handheld that could fit in your pocket, murdered by Sony and their greed, resurrected and given a new life it deserved by homebrew community and enthusiasts.
Please discuss this piece of hardware here.
Vita thread
i like it sexually
>Burns your house down while you're away.
>has a touch pad on the back
>why?
>idk but it does!
yeah well
>>why?
Because it's a better and more dynamic design than slapping L2 and R2 buttons on a handheld.
yeah, no
You know why
It is. The few games that use it show how well it works.
it's a gimmick plain and simple
>no gimmicks can be actually useful while keeping the console's design ergonomic and small
lol retard
It could fit in your pocket but not comfortably. And the sticks would get fucked up if you kept doing that.
More of a portable console than the switch though.
>utiliity......it umm.. makes some tracks in Mod Nation Racer!
retard
a damn shame
I like how it actually fits in one hand. I love using it to read VNs while cooking. I never liked the 3DS as much in comparison as the screen is grainy and just not as good. Too bad all "portables" are tablets these days.
It's fun to use it to make characters jump in Disgaea 3 and to rub down monster girls in Monster Monpiece.
just get a big phone bro
fine for GBA
I think you can use it to rub nipples.
>gpSP
how? any particular settings you're using?
On my vita 7 out of 10 games i try have severe slowdown or audio glitches on gbSP, and needless to say they act even worse on other cores
you're using retroarch, right? up to date on everything?
yes and yes
first I would try renaming retroarch.cfg or whatever in ux0/data/retroarch to get a fresh slate. scaling filters can be intensive, rewind can be intensive. make sure the gpsp core has the dynamic recompiler enabled
use a plugin like psvshell to check your clocks. without filtering you can mostly get by with gba at 166mhz, but with filtering you may need 222mhz. gpu clock at 5x-8x. normally these wouldn't be a problem as RA defaults to 444/222, but another plugin might be forcing a downclock.
>On my vita 7 out of 10 games i try have severe slowdown
Which games?
i'll try that
it was just a rough estimate, i tried many games and just a small handful worked fine
