I loved the main game but im getting assfucked in Kaycee's Mod and I'm only on challenge level 3 what do I do? A lot of the encounters have a ridiculous amount of enemies thrown at me and im completely fucked if I dont get perfect draws
What challenges and starter decks do you have?
He was a metafag who couldn’t stand how Leshy cared more about soul than gameplay mechanics.
The only decks I have so far is the starter one with the bullfrog and stoat, and the second one with a moose buck and black goat. I have the tipped scales, boss totems, and no rerolls challenges
>play 700 attack ourobot
pssh nothin personnel robit
Pick the moose buck and goat deck and go for the high roll constantly. always pick 3 cost blood cards or strong rares like mantis god. Shark is also super good on the buck and goat deck. you can also turn the buck and goat deck into a bone deck if you get to a sacrificial altar and get rid of the goat for 8 bones at the start of every fight but bone decks are hard to use. Tipped scales is easy to work with.
Neat game. Wish it left the Old data more vague. The more you learn the goofier it gets. Also, god bless anyone who has the patience for doing all the challenges at once in Kaycee's mod because I sure don't.
Leshy started it by trapping him as a stoat
>PO3 is the reason inscryption is on steam
>everyone who plays it trashes his part of the game
>he's forced to read the reviews off people calling his part of the game ass until the internet dies.
Your goal in Kaycee's Mod is not to fight the monsters and eventually win. It is to always win on the first turn before your opponent even does anything. The only two things you need to worry about are getting as many turn 1 kill monsters in your deck as possible, and getting as many searchers for those turn 1 kill monsters as possible.
Examples of ways to turn 1 kill:
Get double strike on any monster with 3+ attack, or triple on any monster with 2+ attack
Clone an existing turn one kill card
Sacrifice an oroboros 4 times
Weird one is Ant combo decks. If you get almost nothing but ants in your deck and have ways to spawn them, you can turn 1 kill with ants effectively.
Pelt lice are insanely good 1 turn kill cards because it turns any pelts into searchers, and it's easy to load up on pelts
Search/magpie is the best effect in the game, always take it over everything else, same with the totem. Search totem is like instant win for a run.
t. beat all the challenge ranks and won with all decks
Having high cost cards in your deck is risky because you can get bricked by either drawing a full hand of high cost monsters or drawing a full hand of sacrifice cards only. It only works out consistently if you find a really good totem like worthy sacrifice or undying
I wish Kaycee's was instead a mega roguelike where theres a fuck ton of bosses, (one for each of the various minion fights in act 2) and you could use every mechanic from the game. Mox, sacrifice, bones, and energy all together.
I've only made it to the 5th deck but my win rate is really good so far. My best advice is that despite the nerfs, Kaycee's Mod is still made to be broken, just in different ways. For example, I don't really like Ouroboros but I usually pick him anyway if there's no Geck so I can give his sigil to another card I like. In fact, I think that the sigil transfer thing is the best tool you have for the mod. Totems just aren't as reliable in the mod, but still great if you get some really good cards early. Overall, I think it's best to have less cards total. Make them more dense. It will get to a point really fast where the best strategy is just knocking out Leshy in a round or two.
P03 has a deep seated resentment against the true star of Inscryption
For moose buck + black goat, my best strategy was to pick magpie early on. It's a very common card for the first trader encounter. The odds that you have the black goat OR the moose buck are really high so as long as long as you get that magpie down, you're golden.
That's more or less what I've been doing. I have had a lot of OP builds with high cost animals + several black goats with unkillable sigils but in the end I always die on later stages simply due to the sheer number of enemies I'm pitted against and having bad first draws
That he was more likable as Stoat than his true form.

this game has some pretty cringe/indie game moments but i honestly love it overall, am i wrong?
His truest form, g0lly lacked much screen time sadly.
It's just got the atmosphere that makes it work. The absolutely tactile sound effects of teeth clacking into a bowl or falling on the scale makes it feel so fucking great to just play.
He was coded to be an autist.
