post specs

That's extremely vague and the equivalent of saying it has "a CPU"
You gotta post the full specs or fuck off.
Particularly processor, graphics card, graphics card actual TDP to make sure you're not getting an extremely gimped card and memory stick count because laptop OEMs still love to fucking stick 1x16GB stick in there and call it a day.
I wish buying a laptop was easy, but it unironically it's easier to buy a desktop prebuilt from a reputable builder that will charge you out the ass but at least won't rip you off cutting costs wherever possible.

>gaming on 512gb
yeah I was going to get a gaymer laptop too but they all have tiny ssds and its like 300 dollarydoos for a 1tb ssd and thats all you get 1 ssd. You'll only be able to fit a few games on there if you're lucky. Windows and all your programs are going to take up 100-200gb. so if you have a 512gb ssd its going to be like 200gb of free space for games. ALso laptops are notoriously shit to repair

I'm not OP, but this is the laptop he's referring to:

get asus flow x13 with 3080 gpu addon

Try to buy something like this MSI GS66 Stealth from Amazone as Warehouse deal. GPU should be at least a 3070 if you want it to last, CPU is probably good enough if you're already buying such a high end GPU, Ram should be 16 at least, if not 32gb given that memory usage in gaming has recently climbed quite a bit.

Warehouse stuff is new, almost always, but is for this type of gaming laptop at least 500 to even 1000 euro/dollars cheaper. It's absolutely worth it. We're about 2500 laptops sold for 1400-1700, and 1900 ones for 1100-1300. If there is no warehouse deal for the device you're looking at and there's nothing comparable, I'd say just wait. If the device you want is still too expensive you should also wait. In current times you shouldn't fret spending a bit more to make it last. The worst you can do is spend any amount of considerable money and then be disappointed with what you got.
I mean, your damn phone probably costs more than what you're trying to spend on a laptop with the Lenovo Legion 5 you mentioned. Mine does, and it's not even new anymore.

Here's the full specs sheet.
It looks ok. The advertised TGP is 130W which is on the upper end of the spectrum, which is always good. For reference, the exact same 3070 on two different laptops can give you a performance gap of as much as 40% depending on the TGP the manufacturer chooses.
Apparently it has an M2 SSD and a decent Ryzen 7 processor. Only lingering question is the RAM configuration, because actually using dual channel matters a lot.
It looks solid desu. He could definitely do worse, and if this is within budget I don't see why not

not necessarily true
also cheap out on memory and storage IF the device can be opened and neither is sottered to the motherboard. storage is still fucking cheap and you can buy that later, as opposed to CPU and GPU which you can't replace in almost every device.

>is it any good
This really depends on what you need/want and what your expectations are for it.

What do you plan on playing on it user?

I have one similar to this with the mobile RTX 3070. I don't really play anything all that graphically demanding but it runs everything I've tried on High or Max settings (played Death Stranding, Tales of Arise, Elden Ring, Doom Eternal, with most settings on High or Max at 60 FPS or better). The RTX cards give you a little bit of future proofing with more games including options for DLSS. There's a 2TB model that goes on sale somewhat regularly. Sign up for Rakuten, too. Lenovo sometimes does 10% cash back on there. Also if you get this, consider getting a cheap laptop stand just to lift it off the desk a little. This thing gets fucking hot.

>Lenovo

Hell no! I had one experience with them, and their POS gpu burnt out on me before 2 years even elapsed. Had to rip off the side and blow a fan into the casing, just so it wouldn't overheat.

zoomers everybody

Gaming laptops have stepped up quite a bit recently grandpa. Get with the times.

stepped up as in "getting close to desktop performance" yet still are overheating pieces of shit.

50 Bucks notebook run all of this

The Legions don't cuck you on the TGP which makes them the best gaming laptops right now. There's not a better option so you start there and shop around depending on your budget.

For less than half the price of equivalent desktop specs, especially when you add in the peripheral costs like a monitor. It's not 2010 anymore, user.

don't forget your mask

>peripheral costs
>implying you dont have all those already

it's good but you gotta prepare to buy some SSD and RAM for it on the side

>and its like 300 dollarydoos for a 1tb ssd

Got 1TB wxternal SSD for half that a few days ago.
