why did they remove Monster

I'm almost through Chapter 2 right now, what does it change

More story content, a car, jump platform, package cannons, race tracks, shooting range, etc.

This, played for ~4 hours and deleted forever.

I am one of the people who actually loved the game, mostly because it was so different than every other game out there.
Why would I want to replay it and have to buy it again?
I feel like it was a game you played once when it came out while 100k people were online at any time, enjoyed the experience, and then never played again

Kojima paid Monster to be in the game and not the other way around?

After the mid point of the game you could make piss beer. When you go to a brewery or some people in a farm and shit. Never saw Monster cans after that

After you do the quest helping the farmers trying to use timefall water to crow crops, they supply you with beer in all your rest stops and it replaces the Monster.
Your canteen I believe still is a Monster Energy generator, but the cans on the table are beer.

Ohh, timefall porter. It's a temporary replacement. It vanishes if you get drunk with Sam and chug down too much. Also after a certain amount of time.

Not replay it, just pay 10 bucks for extra story stuff and complete it 100%. There's no need to start the story all over again, you can transfer your save.
