Elden Ring is legitimately about the corruption inflicted upon humanity by gynecologic forces. The Divine comes to make a covenant with humanity and establish order. From the very foundation of this exchange however, the future is corrupted and compromised by the presence of women within the sphere of power. As Radagon (representative of the masculine, ie, positive traits some women can have) and Godfrey (representative of true masculinity/virility) tame the savage world and make peace, Marika - the pinnacle of feminine power - connives against them and their accomplishments for her own selfish, short-sighted ambition and satisfaction. Godfrey is banished after Marika no longer has a use for him, essentially resulting in a no-contest divorce where Godfrey is divested of all his possessions and everything he earned, including his reputation, and is driven from the land vilified. Radagon, up till then in a happy and productive marriage, is forcibly removed from his union with his wife and made to remarry Marika, purely due to her resentment of other women and her need for a convenient pawn husband. She likely then begins an oppressive and incestuously undertoned relationship with her biological son with her truly male husband, and also sires multiple children with her transgendered opposite half. These children are flawed - the boy is perpetually a child, unable to grow older or mature under the smothering influence of a feminine led environment, and the girl is corrupted with a virulent internal rot that is outmatched only by her excessive pride and capacity for heartless violence. The symbolism of the Scarlet Rot resembling the oozing, putrescent blood released by a girls menses is not accidental. Finally, in the ultimate undermining of society, Marika defiles the covenant with God and irrevocably corrupts the world. Her issue is killed due to her intolerable behavior, kidnapped and violated, or undermines and kills the great self-made male hero.
