Morally grey choices

>morally grey choices

So that was a lie.

99% of the time there is a very clear "good" path, it usually involves siding with the sentient monster against the racist humans. If there is a choice at all that is, it's mostly "help" vs "don't help".

Did you let the kids die or the innocent people living in the area?

he probably doesn't know what youre talking about

>mfw let the prostitute killer go because killing whores is based

Even the most minor of quests in the Witcher 3 purpose a complex ethical dilemma. It's one of the reasons why this game is the GOAT

that was the single most retarded choice in the entire game, even more retarded than Dijkstra's quest ending. You should be able to interrogate & kill the guy torturing the prostitute, and then kill the real serial killer. Geralt would never let that fire priest dude go.

>a complex ethical dilemma
name one

Attached: cat and wolf.jpg (1920x1080, 342.1K)

>people think this is a dilemma
this guy deserves to die, no two ways about it.

try saving the orphans vs. massacring downwarren

The Mass Effect trilogy honestly has the best story choices of any game, the fact that it all ends the same way more or less is irrelevant.

The end of the radovid quest line was pretty good.
especially with the double cross from dijkstra which would lead to a 'best' ending, but you'd have to sacrifice your friends for it.

>this guy deserves to die
Only if you're a fucking hypocrite. He was attacked first. Geralt has killed civilians before too.

>you play Geralt and his character and moral values
>you have free will and can choose whatever you like

This game is the illusion of choice, it's basically false advertising. Not saying either is inherently bad but when you come to the game expecting to make personal choices its kind of off-putting. And its inconsistent!

>this guy deserves to die, no two ways about it.
No he doesn't. The village elders are jews that didn't want to pay him, u can explore the townhouse and see that it's littered with expensive food, drinks and decorations.

It's called role playing. That's why it's an rpg. And what illusion? Every side quest with a choice has definite separate ending. Even the main quest is fairly heavily affected by your choices, though not as much.

>massacring an entire village, women and children included, is okay because I feel like I got tricked out of some crowns
your moral compass is more broken than jack sparrow's nautical compass

>tricked
He was literally attacked.

so why did he massacre everyone? there was loads of children and women in the village who definitely didn't join the attack, why does he kill them?

Ok what about this one, I forgot what the quest/character is called but Lambert tells you to kill this guy in Novigrad I think (ex thief or witcher or something) and he gives you this sob story about how he changed and adopted a family or something?

That's morally grey isn't it? I

they literally tried to murder him just so they wouldn't have to pay him. did you pay attention at all?

People forget this quest from the DLC. The amount of ways you can approach this and how it can end is absolute kino.

who cares post porn

...but you can kill the Priest AND the killer.

but just think of the heckin childerinos

it's important to remember that there are like 10> witchers in the world left, it's not wise to kill one of them even if he is kinda psychotic, for his professional skills and knowledge will save countless other lives when he will continue his work of exterminating monsters

It's pretty likely they joined the attack after he started fighting back. Why wouldn't they? Use your brain.

pretty sure you have to let the priest go to get his info on the real serial killer. if you kill him, the quest terminates there.

I literally can't remember this but I always kill cannibals in all games given the choice, that's something I'm not flexible and forgiving about.

>kids
>ever being a threat to a Witcher

It isn't obvious their cannibals. Most people miss it. You were probably one of them.

Not really?
The white orchard quest is pretty fucked up from the get go. You either let the dwarf become victim of racism as his shop got burned or you sentence the culprit to death.
Whispering Hillock is another great example, there are no happy endings here. Where the cat and wolf play is another brilliant quest where you are forced to practice moral relativism.

They shouldn't have attacked him.

eh, with the parents dead kids would have died either to starvation, bandit rape or hags anyway. getting cut down was more merciful

You're retarded. Crawl back to Twitter you subhuman. We talk about medieval fantasy setting where him not getting paid means starving, plus they literally tried to kill him in order to avoid paying.

"they're", not "their", jesus fucking christ, user

>ONLY humans are le racist....because they just are for NO reason, okay!?
I fucking hate this trope in these games. Listening to these fucking knife ears kvetching is like a self-fullfilling prophecy. They shouldn't even be kept around the city, its a conflict waiting to happen.

the games and the books show pretty clearly that there's a very good reason for the racism though. You would have known that if you've actually played the game though

everyone is racist as fuck in the witcher, did you even play the game?

But that's not true? I think there was plenty of examples where elves were acting like pointy ears niggers justifying atrocities against innocents because of muh racism and muh victimhood. Also don't forget that Wild Hunt isn't human

>if you solo-heal her without the simp and actually wait 7 in-game years, she dies from the curse and you find her body somewhere in Skellige

Attached: 20190530010536_1.jpg (2560x1440, 329.94K)

Thats the point. Hypocrites are on both sides. They were wronged, but they are no better than the people who wronged them, targeting civilians and soving terror.
The Squrrels tactics are based on ukrainian terrorist (UPA) tactics from the 40's, its just another of historical inspirations in Sapkowski's writting.

>everyone is racist as fuck in the witcher
maybe but its kinda framed like humans are perpetrators and everyone else is the "victim" and the occasional human hater is like "its because they started it". At least that's the general vibe I got

kek this reminds me of retards who had never read the books playing Witcher 1 and crying that you should take the neutral path

>yfw an elven incel goes on a tangent about how humans and their big dicks are to blame for the elves going extinct
it read like a post from Any Forums

>not getting paid = time to kill lots of kids
the only retarded subhuman here is you, lack of melanin is often correlated to lack of empathy after all.

Are you implying reading the bathroom literature is a pre-requisite to playing the game? are you for real?
