Buy a prebuilt PC, take the graphics card out and sell the rest.

Just buy the same as your old one.

arent gaming laptops a reasonable option now?

Lol no, any laptop gpu is generally roughly equivalent to its previous gen counterpart but weaker, eg laptop 3060 is a weaker 2060
They also tend to degrade in performance over time running at intended clock speeds so you have to undervolt gimping the card and cpu and down even further
They are still expensive mistakes no matter how sunk cost anons try to rationalize it

In comparison to paying for a GPU, nowadays, yeah. Steam Deck is unironically one of the best bang-for-buck offers you could hope for at the moment but obviously you wouldn't see one for months and months.

No point in getting a gaming pc when an Xbox exists so yes

Cards are getting relatively easy to get now. Micro center has a bunch.

They're in stock even at Best Buy but still super overpriced

Why don't you try joining Majestic12...in a body bag?

Not the founders editions. Otherwise only get the TUF gaming. Best quality.

Steam deck

there's been a bunch of decent priced rx6600/xt's and 3060/ti's recently. saw a ti just 20 dollars over msrp
