A similar thing happened to my best friend

We were hanging out at his parents house (still in HS) and they call him and ask to meet him at a dealership. We show up and right then and there his parents sell his car to get something else for their niece as a sweet sixteen. Granted it was under his parents name, but he was the one making the payments on it and shit. Dude was fucking livid. Doesn't talk to them anymore. Never went to his dads funeral.
